I have filled a kettle from the hot tap every frozen windscreen day for 30+ years and never cracked a windscreen yet. if you can put your hand in it then there is no problem IMO.

Unless they got the scamed person to install some software such as team viewer, logme in etc how do they take control of the computer, opening and closing stuff?

A couple of mates and me made our own convertible/Targa Manta GTE coupe years ago along the same lines after seeing the Supra Cut the roof out and welded up the doors and gaffa taped/glued foam rubber to trim the cut edges. No attempt at making the roof fit back in we just put the car in a garage when it rained and got wet bums if we were caught out. It was a £500 clunker to start with so we just ran it around for the summer and then junked it. To be fair it wouldn't have lasted much longer even with the doors welded shut the amount of flex and scuttle shake were horrendous. Would like to see it done with the 350Z but you will junk the car. I might have some photos somewhere (prints from 35mm film, was before digital media existed ) Ill have a look in the loft later.

the main beam indicator light is a real pain when its standard. Much better when modified you can have it whatever brighness or colour you want. Mine is still blue but dosent burn your eyes out anymore

Sorted - can only attach 1 bluetooth device at a time if I want the speakers to work with the phone have to disconnect the music player.

Sorry to hear this but surely the retailer is liable not you. They have the contract with the courier and so if its not delivered they have to replace it!

The splice locks should be pushed in all the way with a crimp tool or at the very least with a pair of good pliers, they wont work unless you do this. Its even better to solder the connections. Some cars seem to have the mirror switch wired the other way to mine (Unless its mine which is wrong) Just change around the two wires to the mirror switch and this will fix the backwards fold/unfold operation. You should be checking it works before putting the door card back on and then immediately afterwards to ensure you haven't dislodged anything whilst putting it back. All I can suggest is check everything and also the fuse in the live wire to the unit. If you cant get it to work pm me with your number and ill call you to see if I can help,

I mean the multimeter you are using to help with the installation to check your live, earth , connections etc. You really should be using one. If you dont know what one is then I would ask for some help from someone who does and knows what I mean.

The black wire is an earth. I used the one in the corner but one member reported this was not a good earth on his car so used another one. Any earth point or body connection can be used for the black wire from the module. I think that's the correct purple wire. To check do you get a 12 volt +ve pulse on your meter on it when you lock the car. No way to troubleshoot really just double check all the splice lock connectors have been fitted correctly and that everything is making good connections. Everyone who has had an issue fitting found a bad connection somewhere.

A flat bed laser cutter would do the job in half the time than a CNC machining centre/miller. I could cut it from a dxf or 3d model in about 2 mins including programming. Give us a shout next time Bizz You will be suprised at how cheap it would be

As the title says I added a bluetooth module to the Bose HU today. Did the Bose Hack first then fitted a new 5v USB supply by dismantling and using an old cigarette lighter to USB charger Mounted the bluetooth module under the centre console so it cant be seen. It charges off a mini USB and inputs into the Bose Hack aux input. The 5v supply is an aux switched supply from the heated seat switch so will only charge the bluetooth module when the ignition is on and wont drain the car battery My phone can connect to more than one bluetooth unit so I can now stream music from my mobile and still be connected to the original BT phone. It even cuts out the music from the speakers to answer the phone. One problem though........ the BT handsfree used to play through the stereo speakers now it just plays through a small tinny speaker under the steering wheel, Anybody know how to get the phone to play through the speakers again???
