The profile is a percentage of the std wall height which is related to the width of the tyre. The wider you go the lower profile you have to go to ensure the rolling radius of the front (narrow) and back (wide) are the same. Unless you have different diameter wheels front and back which is not unheard of ie 19" on the back and 18" on the front.

Where are MPSS £90 dearer for 20" tyres? and is this across 4 tyres or each corner? If its £90 in total then its a no brainer.

db scale is exponential like the richter scale so if they half the db's then they'll be far far more quieter. Every 3db increase doubles the volume Therefore 5db quieter will be nearly 1/3 of the volume of the louder one.. hence twice as quiet. NOT half the db

Hi Guys, Thanks for the input so far but These are ZR 20 tyres 20" not 19" that I have priced up. The 20" MPSS are way more expensive than these prices. This is why I have chosen these 2 as they are good value and fairly good products.

Branded batteries or generic? just changed mine again for 210 mAh generic ones and still the same key shows on dash..

Got dent master in on Friday to remove 4 very small dents in a cluster on the n/s door which were on the car when I bought it. No one could see them until shown, but I knew they were there . Youngish chap turned up been doing it for 12 years no problem £65 they will all be gone in 15 mins. 1 hour later said he was having trouble, 20 mins later gave up and said its the hardest door he has ever worked on. Something about aluminium, pointy dent, and a crash bar! There was a big improvement but 2 are still visible to me and him, although the missus said she could no longer see them. Anyway fair play to the chap no charge! Just wondering if its worthwhile getting someone else in to finish off the last 10%

Isn't it just a ported normal one with the front o/s intake paired down a bit ? Its a DIY job

I know this was info for others as its a very common problem. I waited and chewed through a set of fronts which cost me more in the end.

Its best to fix this straight away, not dangerous perhaps but your car eats front tyres when they have gone. 5-7k is all you will get out of a set if the bush has gone and its knocking.

Yes a direct swap you just need to take a feed off the live to the horn to illuminate them permanently or fit the facelift clockspring to take a feed from the dash lights so they dim and come on with the other dash lights.

Yeah, I have tried grounding the handbrake input which works but then the speed sensor kicks in after 8mph or so and stops it anyway. I could interrupt the speed sensor but that would stop the nav working, although I dont suppose you would be using the nav if the dvd was on. To bypass this instead of interrupting it would be way to expensive.

Not sure what you mean. To alow DVD to play all the while, not just when handbrake is on? or something else.

Anyone upgraded to x9 yet? Different firmware and map upgrade to Nov 2012. Can we just buy the fleabay dvds or has it got to have an install code? Conflicting info out there.
