  1. How do we book the camping at Allithwaite then Martin.
  2. Had mine stop working altogether on its first long drive since I got it. Nothing worked on the controls and the heater part of the display locked. AC light on but no AC. Stopped at the services and turned off for a few mins and restarted. All ok and not happened again. Would have thought software too.
  3. All sold items paid for sent out yesterday first class recorded.
  4. You can come look at mine. Not on the car yet though, give me a week and it should be fitted. Will have sports cats on as well though.
  5. Quick buy mine and put it in. Discounted to £10
  6. Since Admiral doubled my insurance on renewal I'm looking around. Has anyone got a modified 370 insured for less than £300? if so who with please. My best quotes are coming in around this with the missus on as a named driver..
  7. What soldering iron are you using. I got a digital temperature controlled solder station for mine which was about £50 but ensured i diddnt burn out the leds. When you move onto the leds near to the tacho and speedo you must make sure you have a very short heat cycle next to the shafts as you can damage them easily. If you want some clear needles to play about wiith to change the needle colours then PM me I bought extra from the ststes when I did mine.
  8. I have an invidia gemini on the way it will be on in a week or two, Im in the midlands, stafford you could pop round for a cuppa and a listen.
  9. Ran my 350z with the pipe snapped at the usual backbox joint for about a month. Sounded awesome if a bit loud on cold startup. Take off the backbox and see what you think, before buying tails.
  10. I have spent many hours with the doorcard to my new zed off trying to get a module to work, and the outcome is unfortunately No there will not be a version for the 370. The door lock and mirror control seem to now be fully Canban controlled. with the mirrors on separate circuits I have taken out the mirror control fuse about a dozen times and will not risk taking out my BCM with more experimenting. http://www.gtr.co.uk...ror-module.html Looks like someone has cracked it for the GTR but I have heard this car has reverted back to more traditional circuitry in parts. Get me the installation instructions and ill see how it works, however if its using the canban coding and signals its beyond my skill set.
  11. I was advised today to paint mine as it wasn't suitable for a guaranteed successful wrap, this from a highly rep company who lost business by telling me this as they don't paint!
  12. The clockspring is just a couple of connectors with a multiple rotary track in the centre. Each of these tracks can be checked with a multi meter for continuity at the plugs on each end. Should it be faulty and not show continuity at each end then get a second hand one. Sure I saw one on ebay the other day Edit-- Here you go http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-SPIRAL-CABLE-CLOCKSPRING-STEERING-POSITION-SENSOR-/111337257992?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19ec37bc08 At 99p at the mo
  13. Was "talking" for the new owner now he has to declare his otherwise unknown mods Certainly wouldn't want a black box in mine My own renewal has doubled -- No Thanks Admiral a customer lost..
  14. Now because of that "stupid gushing woman" my insurance has gone up 20%
  15. +1 on the peel. My dipped ones lasted a week and the rear 2 weeks. Were yours wrapped or dipped? as i'm trying wrapping next.
  16. You need a diffuser on the back of the perspex. Thin opaque white plastic sheet, thick tracing paper etc. This will create the glowing effect your after and get rid of the hot spots.
  17. Badges are yours I will pm you with details.
  18. R-Face they are yours if you want Pm,d you.
  19. Mr Pedantic can say what he likes, as he'd be wrong. In your example, a 275/35/20 sidewall is indeed 96mm. Profile is always related directly to the width, which is why it's used as an aspect calculator. It would be useless otherwise, as who decides what a 'standard' tyre is? Dunlop do a pretty good guide to all tyre marking here. My rears on the 911 are 305/30, which makes them 91.5mm tall. The fronts are 235/35, which makes them 82.25mm tall. It seems the internet agrees with Ekona and I am incorrect. In my defence when I was taught this "fact" the internet did not exist.(not by decades) However I will be measuring my tyres to check
  20. A "Standard Tyre" has a side wall height which is 82% of the nominal width of the tyre.
  21. Strange Badge for sale ............. £1500.00 Brand new still got the plastic on. Just Insert in car and get £3000.00 more than book !
  22. It's just a percentage measurement of the width of the tyre. So a 275 / 35 / 19 tyre simply means the profile/sidewall is 35% of the width of the tyre. "Mr Pedantic" says Actually the 35 profile means its 35% of the height of a std height tyre for that width. Not 35% of the width. Otherwise a 275 35 R20 side wall would be 96mm high
