Howdy,
I'm hoping this isn't going to be a massively expensive problem...
When the car is cold, first thing in the morning, it makes a low rubbing or groaning noise when I put my foot on the clutch to put it into 1st. At first it only did it once the car was in gear and I was balancing the clutch to pull away for about 3 seconds. Lately it's been doing it with just my foot on the clutch but still for just a few seconds then it's fine.
It also is a bit bad going into 5th down from 6th - I have to do it slowly.
Suggestions?
I have a feeling that this, plus new pads and discs, is going to add up to an expensive month.
It's an 04, with 40k on it. Nissan gave it a clean bill of health when I took it in for a health check with the exception of the brakes.

While I think an excellent quality screen is essential - I think think of any real use of multi-touch in a cubby hole.
It'd be awkward and hard to do while stretching into the cubby and with one hand.

First car, a Mk4 Fiesta 1.1l. Cost me £1k, cost me £1200 to insure it 3rd party.
2nd car, a Citroen Saxo 0.9l, cost me about £3k (yes I downgraded - but it was a newer car!) - fully comp was about £800.
3rd, a 1995 Mazda MX5 1.8 - £750 fully comp.
....then 2 years later I added a turbo - £750.
4th, the 350Z. Car cost £7500, insurance is £770 (should be £650 but had a "bump" in the MX5).
How the hell do kids afford such crazy insurance?
A 18yo kid up my road insists on owning a cruddy Rover 45. Some turbo diesel thing. He is paying almost £2k insurance! For a god damn grand dads car!!

Bose HU?
There is a known fault that causes the left speaker to start cutting out R25LEE I think repairs them.

Spotted what?

I'm sure I remember that being labelled as some kind of wear indicator in the service manual - but I fail to see how that works
I was reading the service manual last night to see if changing the pads and discs on the front is a DIY job or not.

Afternoon,
I was going to pick up some Demon Shine to keep the car looking shiny, but figured I should ask here first if there is anything better about?

Thats what I'm looking for
Although I've been given details of someone who might be able to do it for me very cheaply - which might be the better option as I'm ham fisted and don't have much patience.

Got mine early this week.
Fitted it yesterday. Awesome guide! I went to a mates for some help with the wiring but it really wasn't needed. The colour coded wires were so SO helpful.
However, in the process of refitting the door card it stopped working. Faffed around for ages trying to get it to work again and in the end decide to remove it (it was getting dark). Thankfully removing it was really easy too thanks to the brilliant build quality
As I removed the last clip from the ground wire I saw it hadn't cut through very well at all - so I now know WHY it didn't work - I just need to refit it.
Hopefully today

I want to wrap some fairly awkward interior parts in CF to hide scratches from the previous owner.
Where can I get some decent quality, but very thin and flexible wrap?

Can you PM me some prices for front pads and discs? I'm after vented and grooved, but on a budget
(a price for a full set, all four corners, would be great if it works out cheaper )
It's an '04 with Brembos.

If you head down far enough, Grove Ferry is a beautiful spot, and has a large car park.
Plus I'm down the road! Will happily tag along somewhere on the route

My MX5 was always referred to in this way. Even after I stuck a turbo in it and could out pace and out handle every other car at work.
When I got the Zed that stopped straight away. Someone even remarked how it looked like a car that would kick the @*!# out of you if you bad-mouthed it.
I could never imagine anyone referring to the Zed as a hairdresses car!

Thats an xmas present for my diesel loving friends sorted!

Get yourself a car pc and lose that cubby
I'm talking about the arm rest cubby

Why is there a light in the ashtray, but not in the centre cubby.
Do I really need to see fag ash in the dark?

Superb. Can't wait

Kind of annoying the switch is taken out of the equation....but still
Will defo take one of these for when I open the door up to see why it rattles like a mofo with the window down. Sounds like a bag of spanners inside!
I had that .......... simple fix once to get in there
What's the cause?

Hello,
I have a choice of 2 D1 Spec Throttle Controllers - the older small display type, and the later newer one with a larger display.
Is there much of a difference, or a reason why I should get the more expensive later one? I prefer the smaller form factor of the old one as I can hide it easier - I prefer a stock look.
Do they both disable when in reverse?
