Evening all, What is the best option for me looking to upgrade the BOSE unit in my GT spec. It has the satnav built in to the cubby which I'd possibly like to ditch. Most important thing for my is full iPod integration and control from the HU. Is it possible to fit one of these "Nurrish" systems that everyone raves about in place of the BOSE, and then get a normal cubby hole inplace of the factory fit satnav? Where can I get a full spec of the Nurrish one? Does he have a website?? I'm quite tempted to leave the old satnav in - two screens!

The service history is the biggest reason I beat he price down. It has been lost by he garage according to the seller. He has asked them for a new book and to stamp it for the previous services. We'll see if that actually happens! It also has a NISMO induction kit fitted and has the oem Bluetooth phone kit - does the latter work with iPhones?
-
Well it's not under snow any more... It's a nasty bit of damage down the sill but I have a friend with a bodyshop who can make that look a lot better for next to nothing. It has a few flaws, but to that end I can say that I beat the price down enough to make it my first Zed. It's just had all new tyres, new pads, new plugs - and the leather was retrimmed not too long ago. I'm picking it up (hopefully) on wednesday

I'm excited as it's the spec I've been looking for, in the price I've been constrained to, with 38k on the clock FSH and what sounds like a decent owner. It's up for a fast sale due to him moving abroad. There werent any photos at all when the ad went up, and it says sold because It's being held till I get up and see it. I'll see what tomorrow brings.

They are standard wheels powder coated black. I actually like black wheels on a gunmetal car - so I guess I'm a knobber. Can everyone reserve their uninformed opinion for the moment? I'm checking it out myself in person tomorrow.
-
I'm going to look at it properly tomorrow I'm more cautious than excited, as I wasn't planning on getting a Zed this quickly. I haven't put any money down yet!

I'm viewing the car tomorrow so I'm not worried about pics. it's being cleaned and stored in a hanger for me to look at. It's fully kitted out, mint, GT spec UK car. Exactly what I've been looking for. The owner doesn't appear to have been on here - but is on Pistonheads due to his Noble. Nothing untoward in his post history there. I can't see any buttons on the pic, so lets hope it's something better than the standard one mentioned earlier. Viewing tomorrow - almost certainly putting down a deposit and then collecting on Jan 3rd. Very excited
-
Is that a good thing?

A picture! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/largep ... ¤t=4 Best I can get at the moment.

Ah i see! Well I will always have TomTom on my iPhone as backup. What are the issues with it? There isn't much (that I can find) online.

Update: I'm putting a deposit down on a MANUAL 350Z GT Spec tomorrow night. Millions of pics will be posted soon

Yup thats what I'm trying to figure out. The seller hasn't mentioned that it is after Market so I assume it's the birdview one. Will see it soon enough. Is the birdview one good?
-
What I'm trying to get at is if the satnav is standard or aftermarket. Was there a standard uk one? Going to look at it tonight - will get pics.

Hello again, I'm buying my first Zed on Thurs I'm just curious what HU the car will have. It's a 2004 UK GT spec, with a Bose system and satnav. Are there any details about which satnav the system will be running? Is it a standard fit or aftermarket?

My perfect Zed - but how much is the road tax?
chrisgunton replied to chrisgunton's topic in 350Z General
Hey all. I'm comparing it to my MX5 - which is thirsty. About as thirsty as a Zed. Road tax for the Zed is a little more and I'm sure I'll get stung getting it serviced too. But the MX5 has had a fortune spent on it, and routinely does still! The Zed may end up cheaper! -
My perfect Zed - but how much is the road tax?
chrisgunton replied to chrisgunton's topic in 350Z General
Woo. Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £134.75 12 Months Rate £245.00 Also "Vehicle Status Unlicensed" Does this mean the road tax hasn't been paid on it? -
I'm 99% sure i'm getting it this week However, the seller says the tax is the lower tax (260pm as opposed to 400+pm). It's a 2004 model. Is it in the cheap tax band?

It's a private Zed, and not exactly a standard MX5 http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64262

At the moment I'm considering buying the car and SORNing is Sell the MX5 and then get the Z on the road. The temptation would be insane though

My MX5 is currently up for sale, and I've just spotted the PERFECT 350Z for me. I can afford it, and I want it. If I bought it before selling my current car what happens with insurance? Obviously I'd get insured on my new car, but would I have to keep the policy going on my current car? What's the best course of action to take while trying to sell my current car?
-
Ello all, My Mazda has just gone through it's MOT so it's time to sell up and look for a Z (anyone interested in a turbo MX5 as a track toy?) I can't decide if I want a manual or automatic (manualmatic?). I don't like the styling of the auto shifter, but I do like the prospect of fitting paddle shift. I've never owned an auto before - I've preferred the involvement of slipping up through the gears. Thoughts?

Hi all, I'm very new to the 350Z scene and looking to make a purchase in the new year. I've been looking at the GT spec cars - but all the ones I've seen have the tan seats. Are the ones with black leather about or was it only in tan? Many thanks.

You are aware 19" wheels were not standard fitment? LMGT4's (not black) were available as a £2.5k option IIRC, but not sure if they were the 18" or 19" options Some early imports were on 17" wheels. Yes, there are quite a few gunmetal/alezan 350's around, but the alezan was a £400 option (UK models) and there are many with the charcoal black leather about and few non-leather ones as well. I presume it is a coupe you are after, and just to note that if it is a roadster you wanted it does not have bluetooth capability (in case the phone integration you are thinking of does not have its own ) I was not aware about the 19" wheels - but 18" is also fine. This was just a wishlist and yes a coupe. I also meant to add triptronic gear box. I'd like the option of fitting flappy paddles in the future

Thanks for all the replies guys and gals So at the moment I'm looking for... 2002-2005 UK or Jap Import? Gunmetal or silver GT Package 19" Wheels (black if possible) Some sort of rear spoiler I think Black interior (all the gunmetal ones I've seen have tan leather - is that correct?) Sound system with iPod and iPhone intergration Sat-Nav - defo a double din touch screen HU at the least. I'm not looking at modding it as I have my previous car - it's just more things to go wrong and complicate. I'm right down on the tip of the South East. Margate.

276 version is currently in special band K which is £245. Not sure for how long though. How do you tell the difference between a M and K band car? Thanks for all the messages so far. Wish I could be making a purchase sooner! Is the flappy paddle gear box good on the Zed?
