  1. I have one spare - £60 I guess seems to be the going rate?
  2. I'm planning on removing my birdview system and was wondering if anyone else had done it, and had any tips or advice to share (such as where wires run etc). I'm replacing it with a Nurrish at some point, but probably leave it as a cubby until then.
  3. Sorted. Ordered the HU, and I'll get the looms and bits early next month when I get paid. No doubt I'll be asking here for help with the wiring!
  4. As far as I know it's 29-007: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ict/p~29-007.html Would this work? http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ict/p~29-020.html?cat=0
  5. Was just about to place my order but now I'm confused about looms... I need this one: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/steering ... 9-674.html But I can't find the link to the ICT 29-00 one on Sextons website? Have they stopped doing it? is there another source?

  7. I was thinking for a few quid extra I'd rather have some surplus bits and a perfect fit than cut it - or are the edges well hidden by the HU? Just found the HU really cheap somewhere
  8. This one? Wouldn't that mean cutting the middle bit out?
  9. ...for a 04 UK GT. I'm in Margate, Kent - not sure if airbags can be posted?
  10. As soon as I get my monies together I'm planning on pulling out my slightly dogdy BOSE system (speaker cutting out and CD skipping) and satnav in favour of: Head Unit: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/pioneer/ ... ER=Froogle With this and this. Have I got all the right bits? The most important big about the HU is to connect an iPod (with full control of it) and to play movies via SD card or DVD. Then when funds allow - a Nurrish system to replace the satnav in the cubby. How's that sound?
  11. I'm actually liking this one more: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Launch-CReade ... 3cb1d7ed8f That should work with any 1996+ Nissan or Fiat yes?
  12. Which Ive read But I'd like a reader to actually read any codes first (hopefully a reader that'll work with my parents cars too).
  13. Will the GS500 CAN OBDII EOBD2 Fault Code Reader Scanner OBD work with the 350Z? http://www.carparts-sale.com/gs500-can- ... -p-39.html For only £40 it's not bad to check things out easily or reset the ECU.
  14. Lexx - I hear ya, which is why I'm pleased to say I paid a lot less than the advert stated.
  15. As above really. The horn doesn't want to work I checked the fuse and that is fine. Is it more likely to be the horn push or the horn themselves? How does the steering wheel come apart (really need a workshop manual for this car!)
  16. When I had my Mazda I had a couple of really great books that detailed how to dismantle the entire car, but I've yet to find anything like this for the Z. The Haynes one is reported rubbish as it focuses more on the infinity instead. Is there a book I should be looking for?
  17. It has an after-market induction kit fitted - would that be affecting it? Will start the ball rolling on getting a new MAF.
  18. Evening all, The Z that I purchased a couple days ago appears to be running a little rich, and idling higher than I expected. it had been stood for a month or so over the winter. The seller thinks this could be caused by the auto choke playing up due to being stored. Does this sound correct, and if so what's the solution? This is my first Zed so I have to admit to being a bit of a noob The revs tend to jump up to 1900 when I come to a stop sometimes, and it usually idles just over 1000.
  19. If a new HU is fitted does the satnav still come through the speakers?
  20. Will it fit an 04? Mine has the remote instead of the bottons in front.
  21. Will probably get a Nurrish instead actually
  22. Is there a 2011 update for the Nissan Birdview system? I have the 2004 with the remote. It's not great but if an update is cheap enough I might as well update it.
