  3. Don't forget some of that nice interior cleaner too I got the stuff last week ... but I haven't used it yet
  4. Is it just me ....or isn't that a trifle odd.... having said that ... I now feel compelled to give it a try
  5. I wouldn't have any "must haves" on the basis that I wouldn't flatter myself that my own desirability would make my choice was so wide. All this is totally academic, of course, as my needs are fully catered for
  6. ... to all my trusty yellow, cheap sponges that have washed the following since 1969: Austin A35, Alfasud Ti, Alfa 145 QV, 2x Austin Mini, 2x Caterham, BMW, 525E, Citroen 2 CV, Fiat Uno, Fiat Punto, Hillman Hunter, Hillman Minx, Lotus Elise S1, Nissan Micra, Morris Minor, Morris Marina, Nissan 350Z, Roadster, 3x Nissan QX , Peugoet 304, Peugeot, 309 Gti (Gp N), Rover 213S, Rover 216Gti, Rover 412, Standard 8, Standard, 10, 5x Toyota Corolla, Westfield, 1700 X-Flow Sei, 2x VW Polo, VW Jetta. I have finally been persuaded to invest a vast amount in a Meguiars Mitt thingy It is my love for the 350Z that has finally brought me to this point
  7. I don't really like very thin at all. Christina Hendricks body shape is fine by me That also gives away my preferred shape distribution. I don't have an issue with my wife seeing this, as she is, of course, perfect
  8. Tried several locally with no luck. I ended up getting Murco Super Unleaded from the Chipstead Valley Road.
  9. I think there is a bit more to it than just the % of it's available power that you are using... it's cool to have quite a bit in reserve for much of the time.. just in case........ When you think about it, unless its a 2CV, you only use a modest proportion of the performance available on the vast majority of cars on the road, most of the time.
  10. The OEM ones often go where the back box joins on to the mid-pipe and it affects the flanges on both parts. If you are tight for cash a repair is possible by cutting off the affected bits/ends and welding a sleeve over - effectively making the two rear bits into one. It needs to be done in situ to get the right alignment. If you are lucky such a repair might last a couple of years - but the writing is on the wall really - there are some good aftermarket exhausts around. Exhausts are generally not covered by warranties. Good luck.
  11. One of my pleasures many years ago was cornering faster than following drivers expected when I had an orange 2CV. It helped that it was a daily route of back doubles that I knew inside out. From the outside it would look extreme but it was nothing like as bad on the inside. This all hinged on 2 things - (1) Being in 3rd and (2) being able to maintain momentum at all times. If someone stopped on a hill in front of you it would take several minutes to get underway again
  12. Last 2 jobs were marketing, branch and corporate account management at a Retail Stockbroker and then Director responsible for future marketing developments/trouble shooting (sort of) at another FS company. And that is me trying to make it sound interesting! Now retired
  13. Looks great. You are clearly a very discerning lady
