  1. Today at around 9oc. Couldn't see plate from other side of carriageway.
  2. I am not sure if a 370 roof is made of the same stuff as a 350? Anyway I have a 350 - I used Renovo to get the colour back originally and use the Autoglym kit for maintenance. I use the Autoglym protector very frequently (every 3 months) and it works really well - mine lives outside all year round - rain just runs off it.
  3. A lot of Caterham owners used to use Optimate - I had one and it was great. I think the grown up version for bigger capacity batteries is Accumate.
  4. If they don't there are quite a few FTSE 100 companies wasting tens of millions and some big ad agencies and market research companies shortly to go bust. You heard it here first It is often the case that people remember the advert but don't make the connection in their buying behaviour (ie. the advert just becomes a thing in its own right) - however it's been going some time so you would imagine that if they do their research properly (by no means certain) it works for them.
  5. Sorry if I've missed it but are you sticking with the original rear suspension or changing to one of the beam conversions?
  6. At least there are some of us without spacers
  7. Why not ....look forward to hearing what you think about it.
  8. Message to the BB Kid - I have PM'd you a reply but it's still lurking in my outbox at the moment ... be in touch soon.
  9. Sorry - went out! PM reply sent.
  10. If you do, I have some 18 OEMs that you might be interested in - they are not perfect but they aren't too bad either. I never got round to advertising them when I got my JDM 17s and Rays. I will be sensible about price as I want them out of my garage. Feel free to pop up if you want to have a look - no obligation whatsoever.
  11. I have driven a 350 on 19s, OEM 18s, Rays 18s and JDM 17s. I have to say my preferred option (ignoring looks) would be the 17s but then my preference has always been for more compliant/skinny predictability of what is going on underneath as opposed to the "I'm a mega hero - oh no - whoops I'm dead" variety. I have only had 050As or Kumho winter tyres on the Z so nothing to compare with. My comments relate to on road not on track - having said that I would still go 17s if I could get light ones and R888s.
  12. I suspect what is being referred to is the issue of the car having a limited slip diff so the brakes should be tested using a Tapley Meter. Having said that I have never been sure whether it matters with a viscous LSD? I had them use a Tapley to be on the safe side.
  13. You might sense a bit more tramlining and the steering feeling a fraction more sluggish but I would not expect the changes you are reporting - something else appears to be up.
  14. I stand to be corrected but I think you add 35 to the 265.6 to compare with the original factory figure so you are now appx 300.6. My graph bhp gain was 17.6 but I had high flow cats. My torque gain was a bit higher than yours but that may be for the same reason. Your plot line on the AFR chart does show a significantly different and smoother shape after the re-map. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Plus the Milltek exhaust is a high quality item (unlike the rusty tin original - albeit the OEM can take good power).
  15. Presumably (assuming the graphs are still produced in the same way) you have made the adjustment to the bhp figure as required - the green bhp box +35 I think it was at the last count (to compare with the factory figure). I also have a strange feeling that the "before" figure is sometimes produced having fitted the new parts but before the remap. I don't care about bhp that much but with Milltek, Berks HFCs, Plenum Spacer and JWT Pop charger (the latter probably makes it worse) I ended up with 299.2. The outcome does also depend on the state of your engine before you started - they all vary. The key graphs that affect the driveability are a) the AFR ratio (showing mix of air/fuel) - which should look dramatically different- the re-map eliminates the lazy throttle response mapped in from the factory and the torque which should have increased consistently throughout the rev range. The difference should be significantly beyond what you will now be expecting having looked at the figures.
  16. If Bill Gates is on the coach can we not just close all the windows and re start it - everything will then be fine again
