  1. Unfortunately I'm also getting the message that you can't receive any messages.
  2. Congratulations on the new site and thanks for all the hard work
  3. Telstar - the Tornadoes. We had just got our first electric record player. My Dad bought "My old man's a dustman" at the same time - Lonnie Donegan
  4. You have nothing to lose by getting it checked other than a few pounds. I would.
  5. It was a rush job, the 350Z was designed as a coupe and the roadster was something of an afterthought. Pete Just after I bought the car I read the book covering the design history and "story" behind the 350Z and my recollection was that it was always designed with both Roadster and Coupe in mind but no doubt someone will correct me. Nevertheless I agree that the roof may not have been their finest moment.
  6. The recommended minimum is 5 degrees. You may get lucky that it will eventually work. People lube all the working parts with silicone spray or similar and this can help. Mine did a similar thing to yours and it turned out to be a switch in the rear compartment that had become misaligned. Abbey Motorport sorted mine out by re-securing the switch in the right position and I have had no issues since. The challenge is working out what the problem is as the sequence it needs to follow runs to many pages of text. Try martinmac who is the expert.
  7. I thought Rays are supposed to be lighter than OEM - now I'm confused - plus they come with centre caps already supplied.
  8. Spent many happy hours quite a few years ago dragging oily bits of cloth through 303 barrels (bit OT as its not an air rifle ) This one may need a bit more
  9. You will find most of what you want via the Forum Index or Search.
  10. Ideally you would want to match front and rear - if you have a disparity in grip levels it could lead to understeer or oversteer depending on where the greater grip level exists (ie. less grip at the front understeer and vice versa). If you only ever drive at 6/10ths it is not so critical I personally would not mix but that's just me.
  11. In all seriousness seatbelts were considered to be for whimps and it took a long time for them to catch on (if excuse the pun). I like the way the dark coloured NSU (with so much weight at the back) spun round so beautifully that eventually it scrubbed all the speed off and continued on its way.
  12. Very interesting . I re-built a defunct Mini many years ago (mainly to strip down and rebuild the mechanical bits/engine for learning purposes). Sadly I did it with about 5% of the skill you have - somehow it started, drove and went through an MOT - I then part exchanged it for a VW Polo. I can only hope they didn't sell it on to another person Always loved the older Minis - right back to the floor start, sliding window variety. Also had a lot of fun watching Minicross at places like Lydden. Will continue to watch with interest, particularly what you decide to do re suspension etc. I lost a silly amount of time trying to re-align the engine mountings because I didn't know about the version with captive nuts (a second pair of hands would have been just as good).
