NO LONGER AVAILABLE - NOW GONE
A random collection of 4 tyres that were on my Rays when I bought them. All remained inflated ok until removed. No evidence of punctures.
Some of them are probably best used for airfield days/drifting or similar.
Please see pictures below and note about issue with tyre 4.

I don't know about the Michelins but commonly winter tyres are a much softer compound and when new I think they also have more tread depth (as much as another 4mm) than a summer tyre. So it's not uncommon for people to report better ride quality but also a feeling of them moving around on the blocks a bit especially when they have their full tread is still available. I really like mine (on 17s) and they are just Kumhos - but then I do have an unnatural obsession with ride quality. Look forward to hearing how you get on - obviously they will improve as you scrub off the coating.
Well done - sounds good . Re the tyres - once you know what they are we will be able to comment further. "Top-end" budget is an interesting phrase - could mean budget or mid-range. There are some mid-range tyres that are ok - it all depends on what they are. It's just a case of taking it easy until you know what's what.
Bedford is where I decided I wanted a 350Z. Drove one of theirs in torrential rain (mainly sideways) and loved it. It seemed to me like a good old fashioned sports car which was very predictable. Also had fun in their Caterham but struggled with the JP1 and the Clio Racer - didn't really get how to get the best out of them. Conditions were too bad to really do much in the Formula Palmer Audi but at least I didn't stall it coming out of the pits. Really safe place which does encourage you to explore.
