  1. Good thing to skip the scarf - remember Isadora Duncan
  2. Sounds ok to me at £6,800, given what you've said about it.
  3. I had my fair share of "wind in the hair" style motoring with the Westfield and the Caterhams... so now I just wait until it's sunny and warm. I have learned to live with the possible derision I may face when I don't have the roof down when it is deemed by the Man on the Clapham Omnibus that "I should". In some car communities this used to be a sin tantamount to wearing gloves on a football pitch in 1966 - whereas gloves are, of course, now de rigueur. But if you like getting the roof down whenever conceivably possible then I'm sure it is more than a little frustrating.
  4. ...... I'd seriously consider seeing a doctor I'm just the Wise to your Morecambe
  5. Interesting stuff. Whilst I'm not into major mods that much myself I am always impressed by what is done and the skill levels involved.
  6. Aha...maybe my theory has some legs?
  7. Here is a theory. Maybe it's related to how many visible mods you have - big wheels, spacers, spoilers etc. Perhaps I am dismissed as not worthy because of my little wheels, no spacers or visible mods. Now if I had big ones and stuff attached to both my ends and my undercarriage..........
  8. I'm starting to feel left out now. Why am I not being hounded like a rabid dog? When I had the Flying Bread Van (Alfa 145 QV) they used to be all over me like a cheap suit.
  9. I am not particularly conscious of it in the Zed. Having said that I don't bother responding to any of that stuff any more so maybe it happens and I don't notice it. Most people who do this stuff are heroes on the straights but are found wanting in the bendy bits.
  10. Shame but best to go with what you like and resolve it asap, as you are doing. I recently bought a hatchback which did not prove to be what I hoped...got rid of it a week later! Yes it will cost me a bit but I don't like to dwell on my mistakes - life is too short.
  11. Ah....didn't know that HRs run rich...you learn something every day.
  12. The rasping you refer to is not an uncommon observation. I have Berks and I like the sound in combination with the Milltek. I don't know if Stillen HFCs differ. Mark would know.
  13. In which case it may be running lean. The sensors/ECU try and restore the engine running to OEM settings but the new bits are probably taking it outside the range of adjustment. This also means that you are not gaining any real advantage from your upgrades. Best to talk to Abbey or one of the other authorised tuners about an Uprev re-map. It will transform the car.
  14. Did you have it remapped after fitting the new bits?

    Tyre prices?

If you look at Camskill that will give you a good idea about prices for any tyres you might be considering.
  16. Hmmm....could have been interesting.
  17. There are several different possible answers to that question. Split screen. Look forward to seeing the photos when you get the chance.
  18. In fairness: 1) That may or may not be true and 2) Many Z owners have owned other cars in the past and will in the future - I am a good example. Right now I'm into the Zed but who knows what might take my fancy in the future. I do agree with what you say about enthusiasts and their buying behaviour however.

    Happy days!

Whilst I'm not with Adrian Flux now, I have used them many times before and they are very flexible re mods. Sounds good.

    Wife Trade in

Would you be prepared to consider a 1992 Toyota Corolla 1.3 auto in exchange (rather than another wife)? Her paint is faded and she is knocking underneath and uses some modest fluids.
