  1. Excellent benjy88 Incidentally I was there to see the record run of the MP4-13. It looked pretty damn quick in the flesh.
  2. I was starting think it was "carist" but evidently not. In the Caterhams, always got in Paddock or inside car park or "themed" park on appropriate day. Elise was always inside car park. 350Z has been the outside field every time.....until yesterday
  3. Reminds me of first outing in 309Gti before mods. Brakes virtually on fire and that was a very light car. Agree with what the others have said about lines and fluid as well as pads and disks - maybe there are other ways of re-directing more cold air as well?
  4. We were followed back today by a GT40 in Gulf colours. Interesting sound display coming past the walls at Petworth.
  5. We saw one A40 not far from where we were parked. I remember the A40 coming out and how modern it looked. You also realise now how much smaller cars were then and how they didn't have stuff you don't really need. The older 2CVs and early Minis are brilliant examples of how much stuff they don't have but still work. Need to pop in and see you soon. My CEL came up on the return journey. Time to turn off some more sensors
  6. We avoided the field this time. We got there very early - maybe that was something to do with it.
  7. Sorry no. I used to be a fanatical picture taker ...everything from badges to dashboards - even the windscreen wipers on a early Renault. Then I got bored with it. I felt I was spending more time focusing on taking the pictures than enjoying the cars...so I stopped. The same thing has happened with car modification and maintenance...I just drive to Abbey. My spanners are now lying fallow; my Gunson Gastester has gone to Ebay and my valve spring compressor is quietly rusting away in a corner.
  8. Everything from a Fiat Topolino (with wind up key at back) to a Matt black 612 but not a single 350 or 370 did I see at the Goodwood breakfast. We got parked on the circuit this time despite not being one of the themed cars. It was seriously cold. Some really great stuff there today - particularly some of the Mk1 Escorts.
  9. SMD - don't worry - my top remained firmly up - it was freezing at Goodwood.
  10. I was just looking to see how cheap they now are. Way to go yet for my budget. Plus I really like the 350. Off to Goodwood in a minute. Beakfast meet? Have a good one matey, I love the nice clear roads on a cold Sunday morning Yes....thanks....and.....I agree

  12. He looks happy enough with what appears to be the old "thumbs up".
  13. Unless I am very much mistaken - he is in the photo taken offside sideways on.... or is it someone else? http://www.pistonhea...sat-nav/1060639
  14. Excellent job. Great photos. No. 3 for me.
  15. Blimey...glad it turned out ok for you.
  16. It's probably just me and my personality but if something annoyed me that much I'd have to change it ....get another car that does what you want it to do or get a coupe. I can't stand things that don't do what I want them to do....even the simplest tool that doesn't work probably gets chucked within seconds....I haven't the patience or time for it.
  17. There will be a discrepancy between what cars are advertised for and what people actually get for them. It's a poor time of year and this is real cash in your hand now...and you don't have the aggro of dodgy people turning up at your door. That's just a personal view however. You could always try for more but it is a bit of a buyer's market...I guess we tend to have a fairly realistic view on here.
