  1. Yes. There is a reason why I buy these Toyotas and dreaded "accessory. My wife had a major operation on her spine years ago (titaniums screws and graf ligaments supporting a large section of her lower spine). She has to travel with the seat reclining and in a car with exactly the right sort of seat and with very good ride quality - we also need a big boot, light doors, etc, etc. Despite buying, hiring and trying umpteen cars we have never done any better than these. With the increasing rarity, their value to us exceeds their modest monetary value. Hence the steering wheel thing. I bet you weren't expecting such an impressive defence of these dodgy looking appendages You could also argue "why would anyone want to steal one anyway" and that would be a good question.
  2. Incidentally every time I see a Caterham 7 I do find myself strangely drawn back to them again (for a third time) but I don't think my left knee would now stand up to it.
  3. I dread to think what that would be with 20+ year old Corollas and 1 Jag XK8?Just remove the "Z" I guess.
  4. This thread prompted me to look at the later Europa - but it seems they have settled at £17-18k and aren't going to fall any further. Cayman would be my choice I think.
  5. 58k on the clock, FTSH from new. 53 bids on Ebay. I made one bid with 11 seconds left. Pretty exciting eh? My old Corolla got smashed up. In the interim I bought another but couldn't then resist this. I'm now overstocked with 3 of them One now on Ebay.
  6. Your new tray and battery seems far more appropriate for a Radical than the old one
  7. +1 (after 43 years of marriage)
  8. This sounds very anal but I clean mine before I put them away in storage plus a coat of the unfortunately named Rimwax.
  9. As you mentioned the Edwardians I quite like this shot because of the disparity in sizes between them, albeit technically it's not very good. It's only an aged bridge camera and this was stretching it's abilities. Oh and thank you very much re painting.
  10. No problem re doing anything you like with photos. I took loads but they get a bit repetitive after a while. Saw a couple of incidents - they don't hold back despite the historic and actual value of the cars. Good that drivers were ok. Love the paddock and the old guys tinkering. It was damn cold despite the numbers of layers I had on - yes I was expecting the sound of cannon and the French National Anthem competing with each other. My temperature finally rose when it took 55 minutes to exit the car park
  11. Changed this morning.
  12. +1 particularly re safety. Also agree with other comments about high potential speeds and brake wear.
