  1. Agree that it could have turned out a lot worse.
  2. The Milltek sounds different to the OEM exhaust - it's a matter of opinion whether it is better. I think it is. However, if you add in High Flow Cats and maybe a JWT Pop Charger as well......now you've got a proper noise The advantage being that when you give it the beans it makes a great sound but when you are on lower throttle openings or on the motorway it's not droning away. The perfect solution as far as I'm concerned. (PS. you should have an Uprev re-map if you have the above done - particularly the HFCs)
  3. Winter tyres work very well ...so your only issue would be if it's too deep for front clearance. There are quite a lot of owners who use their normal summer tyres all year round but I have been quite surprised how much difference the winter ones make. I have a separate set of wheels that I bought cheaply with the winters already on and just swap over when it is likely that the normal ambient temperature will be less than 7% more often than not.
  4. Perhaps the appropriate netting would be a worthwhile mod
  5. I use 34 to give a slightly better ride quality. I would expect 30 to make a big difference to ride but I would bit a bit concerned about tyre flex in cornering and breaking and possibly more tram lining.
  6. I hate tyre review sites, a tyre may be 4-5 stars on a Ford Ka, it doesn't mean they're 4-5 stars on a Koniggsegg. No immediate worry because I don't think the Ka tyres would fit the Koenigsegg
  7. There are lots of low entry trolley jacks on the market - you need them for Caterhams and the like. I am just a cheapskate.
  8. Any pictures of your adaptation? Any pictures / pointers of where exactly? Can't do that now but all I did was to cut the basic shape so that it fitted into the top section of the jack and then a slot in the top so that the lip on the underside of the car goes into the slot in such a way that no pressure is put on the lip - in other words it mimics the slot in the top of the jack that comes with the car. Having said that I have to jack the car up a little bit with another scissor jack to have enough room to get the adapted jack underneath....or you can roll the car onto two planks at front or back as suggested earlier.
  9. All you can do now is grovel. He won't be happy but he can still offer a 2nd chance to the next highest bidder. Technically you have bought it. If you do pull out successfully without negative feedback you may want to give yourself a bit more time in future as there is some good stuff out there. I know what it's like when you really want to do something and you have the bug.
  10. Yes...I am now going round like a whirling dervish between Pistonheads, Blatchat and here My head hurts.
  11. I suddenly seem to have become obsessed with this forum. This is very sad. I must get a life. Any advice gratefully received.
  12. Some people adapt a hockey puck and then use the standard jacking points. I adapted one of those heavy density plastic fence post knocking in thingies (without getting too technical)
  13. I think the track ready one is already sold. If you go to the bottom of the advert he says he put it on ebay - I clicked on the link and I think it's sold - you may want to check that out first.
  14. Not sure with that one - maybe a phone call because some of the Bridgestones are XL spec for heavier loads with stiffer sidewalls. I think the right code was 050A DZ but that was on 18s.
  15. Still listed on Bridgestone UK site. Try Ebay - they have quite a number of new tyre sellers on there.
