This is what I was thinking as well, which would influence my feeling about the price.

Whilst at the upper end it's not unreasonable for a dealer if the condition and history is that good.. However, it would be advisable to check if they are changing the flywheel at the same time as the clutch. The dual mass flywheels do deteriorate over time and it is normally sensible to do them together.

I have often used CityTyres on the Ullswater Estate in Coulsdon to do this sort of stuff and they have always done it for a really good price but I have been there quite a lot over the years.

I have had Avon tyres on many of my cars - Caterham use them as standard - albeit not ZZ5s - and they are less than 600kg cars. I am not sure about ZZ5s but I ran ZZ3s on my 350Z for a while and they were perfectly competent as a summer tyre. Because of the tread pattern you don't get much tram lining and when they are warm I really liked them. I felt that the compound seemed to harden noticeably in colder weather. The ZZ5s look fundamentally different. What I like about most Avons is their predictability and feel. Sadly I have no experience with ZZ5s. I have Kumho winter tyres and they are great for the purpose but that's not much help to you either. If I had the budget I would buy MPSS.

Today I have done a deal I'm very happy with to part ex my Zed for an XK8 in Anthracite Black. Pick it up on 31/5. Pictures later - but it will look just like a black XK8 Yes - it's an old man's car for which I am perfectly suited Will also help left knee which is now shot. My sincere thanks to rtbiscuit for his advice so that I approached the whole thing in a less innocent fashion than I would have done.
