  1. Aqualung. Who's next. Disraeli Gears.
  2. I have been monitoring the responses on Blatchat (Lotus and Caterham 7 owners) that prompted me to start this thread. Someone has just responded that he first met his wife in 1953. Their first proper date was at the 1957 Motor Show where his Dad's Porsche 356B was on display. They were married in 1964. Plus they still drive around in a Caterham 7. That's quite cool
  3. I've now had to Google handfasting and am also struggling with how someone could get changed in an MR2 without injuring themselves quite badly. France and Cork seem to have the edge on Bournemouth.
  4. Just on a technical point - children help to perpetuate the human race if nothing else
  5. Damn and blast....I didn't hold the record for long. JetSet - we were 21 (+another Caroline). Plus I was done...our first house cost £10,800.
  6. I hadn't thought of the cumulative option What larks.
  7. Kiss @rse. That's me...school toady.
  8. In 1973 it didn't cost a fortune. We went into the hall next door and had something approximating to a school dinner On our wedding night we stayed at my brother-in-laws flat in Farquhar Road near Crystal Palace and then went to a hotel in Bournemouth for a week.
  9. Congratulations on the appointment and on the classiness of your first name
  10. I must confess I am shamelessly ripping of a recent thread on Blatchat......however..... In days of yore some of us got married quite young. Somewhat unfashionably Mrs H and I logged up 41 years in September. I wonder how the 350Z community stacks up. Apparently 42% of all marriages end in divorce at some point, plus (according to ONS): 34% of marriages are expected to end in divorce by the 20th wedding anniversary. An additional 6% of marriages are expected to end by the 20th wedding anniversary because one of the spouses has died. Therefore 60% of marriages are expected to survive to the 20th anniversary. 16% of marriages reach the 60th wedding anniversary. The average marriage is expected to last for 32 years.
  11. Poking holes in the actuator pipes... those were the days
  12. http://www.radicalownersclub.com/view-classified/277 This is one ad that may be relevant if they'll split - there may be others in their classified section.
  13. On the face of it there appear to be some for sale on the Radical Owners Club website if I have read it correctly but it would mean the owner splitting the sale.
  14. No - the next one 92-97. We previously had an aAe91 (12v on carbs) - the later model is much more resistant to rust (i.e.. we don't have any).
  15. Like the others my old DE hardly ever used any oil and
