  1. As you've mentioned it, the thing I miss most about the Zed is the steering. Glad your enjoying yours.
  2. Good review inc plenty of "proper" Z tips like penny trick, clicky axles etc. Early cars pay lower tax though.
  3. To me the issue is, irrespective of how competent an excessively speeding driver may or may not be, the thing you can't legislate for is other drivers, animals, unexpected issue, etc. Eg. a few years ago when I came round a bend on a country road in my Caterham and there was a brick in the road (a brick is a significant hazard if you are in a Seven) and there was a car driving the other way, so not much leeway for dramatic steering adjustment.

    why ????

I would normally say everyone to their own etc but not in this case - yuk.
  5. Strewth. If being over 40, owning a Jag and posting on a forum which is no longer "relevant" to your current car is now an offence, I am in serious trouble I could buy another 350/370 but I can't knock 23 years off my life as much as I would like to (which is quite a lot)

BMS reviews seem good. Would be helpful to know how you get on.

Assuming its the same repair that many have had done, that sounds far too much. I would get alternative quotes.
  8. from another previous Alfa owner (albeit of a more historic nature).
  9. Try ZMANALEX on here for a gearbox.
  10. Good luck. I have found myself at Cridfords twice before but I keep chickening out - not the cars - just the potential monetary implications if anything goes wrong. My Jag was, at least, cheap and I have very helpful independent specialists nearby. But when I see Porkers like the one you are buying I am strangely tempted again. Resist, resist.
  11. If it was for sound alone I'd have the C63.
  12. I have a Jag ... not impressed Mods: can you sticky this comment please Good luck on the hunt!! Steady on chaps
  13. So the steering is still too light. I'd hoped they'd fixed this as it's the one thing I don't like at low speeds on the X100 (it's also somewhat vague). Everything improves if you press on however. My car sharing mate had a ride in a alloy-bodied XKR-S the other day. Apart from it being quick he was amazed how good the ride still was despite being on 20s (at least).
