Well, I suppose they had to economise somewhere Me being a bit sad I crawled under mine and treated most of it, albeit with no great attention to detail.

  3. I will also watch with interest . I've already gone for Abbey's rose jointed compression arm bushes, to make that particular issue go away - plus their enhanced arb drop links. My particular interest is in not compromising the ride quality too much for road use. With the roads as they are I personally would place a lot of emphasis on suspension compliance but realise that people will have differing priorities. I wouldn't want a "skippy" car.
  4. Interesting .. but one question I had was regarding the additional detergents in some super unleaded fuels. In addition to its higher octane rating, Shell V Power, for example, claims to have additional additives/detergents for better engine conditioning for want of a better phrase. I wonder what importance you would attach to those?

  6. Late morning. It may have been for sale but didn't have a price on it.
  7. I have been very pleasantly surprised so far with the positive reactions I get to the car. For some reason that escapes me the car gets at least as many positive looks/comments as I did with a bright orange Caterham that I owned a few years ago. And my roadster is cosmetically competely standard (not even GT pack).
  8. Part of the reason for the cost is that the plugs account for somewhere around 2 hours of labour. I have taken my car to Abbey and would have total confidence in them. For me it would be as much to with their expertise as the cost.
  9. Plugs are 5 years or 54,000 miles, whichever comes first. Your car is 06 so that means the plugs are due. A good garage might well work it out but as it is a separate operation, to be on the safe side it would be best to specifically ask for them to be included IMHO.
  10. I don't know this particular car but hopefully someone will be along soon who does. The only minor thing I would want to do if it was my car is to have matching tyres on back and front - given it has Falkens on back and 040s on front. You can read about tyres on here to your heart's delight ... but with this current set-up I think the general consensus would be to fit Falkens to the front as well. If you have more budget then there are other options ......but I won't bore you with that. Apart from that it looks/sounds ok on the face of it. The information given sounds credible...but I haven't had one long myself. More expert people will come along soon, I'm sure.
