  1. This probably won't be much help but I have these tyres respectively on a Caterham and an Elise. The 888s in warm weather on a very light car (e.g 500-750kg) are heroic and preserve ride quality but tramline quite a bit, albeit less than some other similar tyres. In this context, however, my concerns would be twofold - 1) They are both very difficult in cool/cold weather 2) I am not sure they are well suited to a heavy car like the Z, in terms of ability to handle the forces involved - but I'm not 100% sure about that in the light of some of the earlier postings. .
  2. Edited heading to correct my nonsensical post which amounted to a coupe with the roof down - otherwise known as a Roadster, which you would think I could grasp as I have one. Wibble.
  3. A couple, roof down, driving round past Tattenham Corner (on the road I hasten to add).
  4. All depends if you hang around with Will, Graham, Jim, Paul & Myself Clearly to be avoided at all costs - I wouldn't be able to afford it
  5. Is that what will also happen to me after a few months of Z ownership: More than 1,00 posts on the forum Modifications where none were originally intended Waging war on small feline creatures Already its started when I saw a small stain on one of the exhaust tips and immediately polished it off....OMG
  6. Yes. Tyre type, profile, compound would normally be a good starting point for tramlining issues - then aligment.
  7. Just out of interest, what is the answer please?
  8. Sounds like you made some great choices. The no. 1 thing has to be the tyres - braking, steering, weight shift, traction - it all goes through the tyres - I have the 050As but I am sure the PS2s are worth it. Now you can enjoy the car
  9. I'll have a go at some of them! 1. Super unleaded is what is recommended 2. Typically people seem to get around 24/25 in mixed driving. Without too much effort and a gentle right foot you can get 28. On a specific economy test one owner managed to get a bit more than 30 if I my memory is right. If you really boot it non-stop you can get much lower figures than any of these 3. It handles surprisingly well. Bear in mind it is quite a heavy car but its very instinctive to drive, has a good compliant ride on the standard set up and responds well to the old slow in fast out approach and a smooth throttle. Its quite easy to go deceptively quickly. Thats all I've got time for. Good luck with the other questions - you may get answers from the search button.
