  1. and good luck with your search
  2. 8200 miles - that's impressive Slightly different to the Hot Rod!
  3. Re winter tyres - I wouldn't necessarily say they are a must but I'm certainly glad I have them - they make a significant difference when it's really slippy. Without them you need to be somewhat judicious with the right foot in very cold conditions as the compound of most summer tyres doesn't really work at much lower temperatures. I managed to get mine second hand with smaller wheels (which are cheaper and provide more compliance with the higher profile tyres).
  4. Some sites (SELOC for example) seem to reduce the level of this recurring question issue by having a Techwiki section arranged by model type, then technical - e.g. brakes, induction etc laid out in Wiki fashion - as part of the main menu.
  5. Having had 1 Westfield and 2 Caterhams myself, I'm sure you will love it. Particularly with the Caterham it is hard to find another car where you feel so in touch with what is going on at the wheels. Easier to live with than many people think, as well. Good luck.
  6. What a shame - good luck with the insurance.
  7. After 1 Westfield. 2 Caterhams, then an early Elise with a radio that didn't work, I still can't get used to having one! Anyway... I agree.....90% of the time. The other 10% I seem to have a yearning to go to the other extreme... normally with something like Baba O'Riley, Speed King or similar at full blast - so that sort of gives my age away
