Thanks guys. like everyone have said, i don't think i would ever watch anything on it anyway, it just would have been nice to get it all working. thanks for that Bullet, to be honest i would probably never watch DVD's in my car so i might just leave it. I'm more than happy about the sound quality and no skipping or speakers cutting out anyway so did you have a switch when it was in your Z Jordan?

would it not display a safety message if it thought the car was moving though?

its not playing when im moving or not.....so far iv only tried it with the engine off with handbrake up and handbrake up..

Thanks Dave .The wiring is bypassed already. the only thing i can think of is when i press visual i get 3 options- normal/dvd player/and screen off. i press dvd player and it goes back to the normal cd playing screen. i press visual again and its selected "normal" again

sorry, video fail just now! tried playing around with the settings with no success, saying that i havent found a "screen off " option, can you remember how to get to this? i thought it would be under "visual" but i only can adjust the tilt screen with no other options...

Yes bullet, this has been done already. Could it be a bad earth? Everything else works, just that it doesn't play the picture....

Hello again guys....I'm back with a new problem!!! Iv got the headunit all hooked up and it plays CDs fine, however I tried to watch a DVD yesterday but i get no picture! I get sound from the DVD but the screen just stays normal as if I am playing a normal cd. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help, Ricky

Hi guys, need your help here please. I was in the middle of taking out the standard bose when i did this: iv pulled out all the speaker wires plus a few others and now i am completely lost as to which wire does what. Iv had a search online for the standard bose wiring but the wiring diagrams seem to be different to mine. What started out as a plug and play has turned into a complete nightmare for me. If anyone can point me in the right direction i would be very grateful, my car is a 2003 uk GT. i need it to mate up to this alpine harness: Thanks in advance for your help, Ricky

Thanks Keyser, its probably one of the easiest mods iv done so far, still need to adjust a few bits but its getting there. Haha yes, just a little bit modified í ½í¸‚ . I followed your build thread with great interest, great work as always í ½í± Teach me Master Keyser!
