Headin' home from work and saw a 350Z Roadster headin in the opposite direction, about 4:20ish? going the glasgow direction. Was a dark colour, not sure if grey or not. (incidently last year I saw a red roadster on the M8, if thats anyone...can't be too many of them lol)

I've seen a blue one kicking about the M8 and near Uddingston before. Wish someone would spot me!! I'm always on the M8 for work and back home. 7odds then back at 4odds...or I'm around wishaw/motherwell/hamiton too...someone spot me lol (sorry I can't help with your spots lol) What colour was the 370?

.... Maybe hes just rubbish lol! Yeah I've not for any particular reason done a standing start in my Z , but I do get the feeling it won't be the easiest thing off the line. I'll be nursing that clutch so easy off the line then hope the power deals with the rest lol. All in the name of fun anyway... unless its a boxster/cayman....then its hella war! I'm dubious of the 13 secs but apparently it was done lol, every time I see one its around 14odd secs, but there 276s, surely (despite the torque diff) the 313 can pull a little bit better....(he hopes). Well I'll find out in a few months lol

I like it,looks a huge improvement over previous ones! Although I did look at the interior dash and grab handle and think... thats just the new Viper with a chevy badge on it lol. Still prefer a Viper tho...

Celica must have had a fair bit done, my m8 has a T-Sport and its been up to Crail, your lookin around the 16sec region.. 14.1's a good one for the Zed... I've seen in EVO they've got the 313 logged in their Evo knowledge, logged in bold writing amongst the rest (apparently meaning it has been tested and not just taken from manufacturers figures)... apparently they've managed 5.5 secs to 60...and 1/4 in 13secs dead! ...now thats pretty good. I know they prob had favouring conditions by the sounds of it but still... someone jumped in and did it. I'll post some Crail stuff up around april or so when they open back up after the winter period. Chocking for a cayman or boxster to be their...I wanna try it... lol

Yeah you gotta ask why the badge is over the other side, check underneath it if you go see it (if you can anyway)

I read "golf clubs"... "roadster" then looked at the top to see what forum I was on.... C'mon... people who buy this type of car shouldn't be playing golf... :wink: lol I have a family member who was a captain of a golf club, he looked at my old coupe and went... "you won't get a set of clubs in that.." I looked at him like... ..(I despise golf & I'm a little stirring macine... ) PS. Don't think a set would actually go in a roadster, prob the Coupe though.... *sigh*

And if thats your budget get a good 313 and keep the rest as savings...or FUEL bills lol :wink: If your 21 insurance is going to be HORRIFIC...but if you have that kinda budget...whos to say your bothered... Mines has been going down :wink: Although the Z doesn't count as its the first year...and I went from 2.0 to...BEAST... but I 'expect' it to come down in Nov this year....bloody better.. lol

My friend stupidly stopped paying his insurance. Took 6months-ish and then he got a letter warning him to get it sorted, so he did. Always make sure everythings up to date...and check it on Askmid.com! I did and my insurer had it as an import...then a 350 Coupe...which is the infiniti thing... eventually changing it and i checked it came up 350Z lol. Its a good wee site that. Glad you got it sorted!

Speaking on experience when I first started driving...do not use the internet based company eCar....their horrendous to deal with for accidents, never resolved mine, I buggered off to Admiral. 26, 2yrs NCB, not bad area, 2 family members on as name drivers, excess raised (by my choice) to £750. £1064. Will prob be a lot less come next November. It does all come round to the circumstances though and then how willing you are to moan to them and how willing they are to keep you... or what muppet you get on the phone... lol

Just watch cheap insurance rates sometimes have a higher excess £3000 lol. God knows why some people would accept that.

Before I got mine Direct Line stipulated I have TWO YEARS high powered car experience before they'd insure me... silly buggers. Go to Admiral, they've done me well.

....but an M3 doesn't look special remember! I see them driving by all the time, besides a bit of arch n' 4 exhausts,you're driving about in a 3someting coupe to most of the general public... Zeds get looks, whether you want them or not PS. Always get a GT pack, and don't say to them you just want a run to see what a Z's like, just ask for a test drive n' see how you feel about it. Then bugger off and buy one you want if you like it. Hope you do!

I test drove one a while ago and I've been in ones after this, I'm only 5ft10 and I thought it was hella cramped from a driver point of view... I don't mean...confined and sporty...I mean somewhere you wouldn't wanna spend a long time in lol. Its just getting to basically.. Want a track toy that excites every moment ....hot hatch Want some fun but grown up comfort... buy some sort of GT sports car (like a Z) Want a more focused car but not so fussed on 'luxuries'... buy something like an S2000 Want a four door rally muncher... this is not the place to be looking..lol Good luck with whatever you buy but I suggest (unlike quite a lot of folk these days) have a GOOD LONG TEST DRIVE.
