  1. You were a few cars and a bus infront of me just going past the golf club (no I do not play such a crap game before you ask...I was passing it lol). Private regy.
  2. Must be something wrong or its not gettin checked/looked after enough to go at 80!! Mines is nearly 79K and it still goes like a you know what off a shovel and not using any oil lol. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  3. Lambo Ferrari Maser and Porsche are not that far away in Edinburgh too. Also in Edinburgh is Aston Martin...pretty easy to get to if something special arrives and you fancy a gander. Yep jonty I'd rather have a 675 than a P1....unless I got to sell it then maybe the other way about lol Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  4. Ones like the latest TTS are stuff the Z's will be hiding from ... lol I wouldn't even bother 'challenging' one if a scenario came around haha
  5. I'm not Craigy but I work around there so I do find myself skippin' about there on a run from time to time.
  6. I've sat in the new TT's, it has to be said, the interiors are stunning, simple, driver focused facing towards you... just nice lol.

    tyre decision

Only had to look at the topic and think....he's in here...he will be...somewhere...Ekona! haha I ran 452's then the 453's, good tyres, but the MPSS aren't that much more if you shop about and they are miles better
  8. Who told you 130?? lol I've seen people on here sailing through MOT's at 150K miles lol It'll be fine, just keep it serviced, check the oil,the usual. If it ain't broke...
  9. We all feel for you, most of us have been there... I bought mine with less than 16K miles ...practically a new car... yet I've been through more arms, bushes, joints, drop links than I can think of, I get all the good luck with them. Right from early mileage up to very recently. Also around 35K odds (can't actually remember) or somewhere....lowish miles anyway... the back box developed a hole....sorry not a hole, it just detached from the pipe,so that was an excuse for the scorpion/cobra set up. It eats tyres with the amount of miles I do, I end up having nearly 2 services in the space of a year... moneypit. However, take it on a nice sunsetting road into the countryside or valleys and its wonderful. You'll get used to them, even the hefty and akward clutch when slow moving in traffic. Wouldn't change it for a thing..... btw did I mention I really want an XKR auto??
  10. What am I missing here... Ekonda/Dan... what do you do? lol
  11. Lucky you I always hover around 21mpg with mixed driving. Yeah just be careful with the throttle, especially on a greasy road. It's a heavy ol' thing so you don't want it swinging about on a public road. If you want to feel what the weights like, get a large empty space (privates always a good idea lol) and turn your ESP off, drive round in a circle gradually building up the speed. If you've not felt it before its quite surprising how quick it whacks round with the weight of it. Most of all... be safe lol
  12. The GT Scotland crowd up here tag along to events and kinda know when stuff is coming etc for various dealers up here (Lambo, Ferrari etc). So I know its a prototype through that, but also yeah... you can tell it is lol, some subtle differences when your up close but barely. I think it might be the original yellow one you saw in videos prior to it coming out. Think Jay Leno etc drove it unless they have a secndary yellow prototype.
  13. So took a wee jaunt past Mclaren last night as they had a wee arrival in the shape of a P1 prototype. Thought I'd be the only saddo up to see it but a few other people were up havin a look too lol. ...its bright. They must have something on, usually private events when they bring something special in. I prefer the 675 sitting outside tbh. I need to win the lottery.... Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  14. Also I'm sorry GM.... I've eaten the prize... well done though
  15. You've got it GM, its a 4.2 XKR. Stunning thing and I've also had the pleasure of drivig it too lol. I want my own! (slightly bugs me that if I'd threw a few more grand on ma budget I could have had a similar powered XK and have those stunning looks....damn) Now if I'm going for one it'll need to be an XKR, I'm not forking out more cash for similar Z performance....even though I think the HR is actually slightly quicker than an XK, so even more reason for the 'R'.
  16. Huh? No lol It's either water dripping from the car or from someone else thats parked there. I didn't know the wheel weights dripped glue, how much they putting on your car!? haha
  17. The alloys (20s) and side 'stroke/vent' thing I thought would give it away. Its not german. Clue... the guy who designed it designed other very pretty cars too lol
  18. Its like a habit you can't kick. Prize if you guess the car in the reflection (ignoring the grit truck dimples lol) Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  19. Everybodys new to it at somepoint , no need to excuse yourself. This is what the forums for and everyone will help each other out with questions on a daily basis. Its a good place to be! You'll get used to it dont worry just dont overcook it... if your not used to the type of car, take it easy and work up to where you want to be. I went from front wheel drive 141bhp to rear wheel and 309bhp... I made sure I got used to it first before enjoying it to its full potential A good few years later and still.loving it (except in traffic...you'll 'love' that) stay safe lol Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  20. Not sure what to make of that...but anyway lol.... The old girls reasonably stable. It'll happily, on a safe legal closed place, fire its way up to an 'indicated' 160 and itll feel fine as long as you don't ...you know ..swerve or something lol. Steering in general is a heavyish thing and its great for it at pace but as said get those pressures to 35psi all round. In the wet its pretty alright too as long as you dont be silly and stab away at the controls. I've had it slip n kick very slightly before and sometimes its just down to luxk n circumstance... the traction/esp can be dim witted if it wants to be and sometimes gives you a fright in wet weather but rarely. Just take some time to get used to it the Zs a very hefty handling car in its feel and controls. Make sure it has decent tyres... its the first car I can honestly say I noted the difference even with 2 types on the front n back axel... I immediatley changed to the same all round. With this kinda performance you do need good tyres or it will send you into a kerb one day if your not careful. And in terms of the hard suspension...its just like that im afraid but the wheel shouldnt be bucking out your hands unless your flyin through big pot holes or genuinely not gripping the wheel right. Both hands perhaps lol or maybe your tackings out? Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  21. God almighty there dirty again and its to be ok the rest of the week.... to the bucket! Pml (the gym is even being missed for this...priorities) Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  22. You can only leave it so long then you get that....my god my car needs washed itch... Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  23. Haha I've found myself half way through and its started raining and I'm like... damn right I'm finishing Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
