  1. Depends on the sound you want. If you want close to standard but a bit more fruitier (without being silly subaru loud), I've got a Scorpion exhaust system with a Cobra Y-Pipe. The rasping in the vid goes away on the road, only does it sometimes if just started, its got a nice howl to it. https://www.youtube....h?v=TxeHmf8euds (Remember stick the video in HD if it doesn't do it automatically lol, better quality sound of it)
  2. There not bad, if you manage to get the piano black middle dash part, its ok even with the silver cheap looking side parts. As long as its got metal pedals (annoys me so much when they dont have them...such a snob). Are you referring to the old old ones? (I'm on about 2007 up). I'm off out in the Z now, as I walk past the neighbours 'R'... I can feel it laughing at me knowing I want one
  3. I must admit, despite not being able to afford anywhere near these cars... I do wonder...how did they pass the design stage and what kind of person actually looks at its physical ....whateverness and thinks YEAH! I want one of those. I studied design back in the day and I know its in the eye of the beholder but I'd call someone a fool for buying a car that looks that shape, caring not a jot who it offended...there point blank hidious lol http://images.car.bauercdn.com/upload/33747/images/0001_mercedes_gle_coupe.jpg http://cdn.bmwblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015-bmw-x6-xdrive50i-front-three-quarter-view-in-motion-12.jpg
  4. It is a fantastic GT car indeed. I have noticed while looking though a lot of the 4.2's are racking up the miles so it may actually be a 5.0 one that I may 'need' to get in the hopefully not too distant future. Although for fuel economy I have been also interested in the 5.0 XK's. Very nearly the same pace as the 4.2 R's but without the ;horrendous fuel. They can sit fairly well at 24mpg. A touch better than the Z... lol Same economy...more power, thats a nice match. You know your in crap fuel economy when you consider a steady 24mpg ....acceptable.
  5. http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2016/8/5/The-Porsche-Cayenne-Coupe-Will-Soon-Be-Here-To-Crush-The-BMW-X6-7734863/ ...Honestly? Do we really need such a car as if that X6 and that terrible looking Merc thing segment wasn't ugly enough. I know its the main point of the business but they really are grabbing for cash in every niche...BMW Merc Audi and Porsche lol
  6. Tbh this really shouldn't be an issue lol Clean the windows and erm... I've ran out of ideas. How tall are you ?
  7. EVO have apparently officially tested the HR many moons ago at 5.5. However I'm gonna guess low fuel, dry as hell and one hell of a good start. In reality you'll get just under 6 from most of us on a decent day. You really need to get it spot on at the right time and the right place to get the 5.5 or even the 5.7 officially quoted for HR's. Rolling starts and in gear accelerations where its at. There will be things that can beat a Z off the line if you get a crap start, but do a rolling and the Z fairly shifts. Also the Z's clutch isn't exactly brilliant for spirited take-offs and I'm guessing the heavier 276' ones are even worse to try it in
  8. So during the weekend I helped out a neighbour and had the chance for most of the evening to drive a 2007 4.2 Jag XKR. I nearly bought one last year and was in fairly serious condition to buy one... however a recent redundancy survival and a loan to curb some debt (thank god lol) has seen me just hang on to the Z. Driving the thing is wonderful. Its gettin on a bit now but still looks the part. The interior trim doesnt always feel as a 75k car maybe should be but its still a lovely comfy place to be. I can't believe something with 20's and 30/35 profile tyres rides so well where as the 18incher 45s on the Z are harsh and bumpy as hell. I'm gonna guess the suspension is the issue. The Zs prob gonna be tighter round corners but trust me the XKR aint that bad and jeez does it grip! The main clincher for me is the lack of an annoying day to day akward clutch. The auto is nice and smooth (if not the quickest) and if you want to play just tap that left paddle and it bolts into the distance. It makes a great sound, especially as you just pull away with a deep grumble. Practicality wise the boots bigger and due to the sleek quarter windows theres barely any blind spot over your shoulder. Also the fact that as you sit there just cruising along your aware of what the size and look of the body is like and that it looks damn good and that makes you feel good. Its a special feeling car despite gettin old. It annoys me desperatly that I can't have one.....yet. Simply... what a nice car lol I just had to grumble n' vent. I'd miss quite a lot about the Z (even the gold calipers lol) but I'd swap it in a heartbeat for an 'R'. Time to settle down get stuff sorted and think about its replacement in the not too distant future hopefully lol Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

    ...Hopefully the same tyre
  10. He's bought one of ....'the enemies'... nooooooo
  11. I've had that aswell...had it.. were talking about general driving lol No Zed is returning that day in day out unless your only doing motorway at 50 and concentrating hard lol. Even saying up to wouldn't be accurate enough Most likely figure is around 25mpg if anything. I like my sound though so its 22 for me If its to be used as a daily driver, its not the 'affordable' runaround sports car people would think. Cheaper than some but still... get your wallet out bad at times
  12. That's been around for ages, something smells about it... lol
  13. Up yo 35...mpg... ma backside. You'll get 22 unless your sitting at 50 lol. Low running costs? Maybe they haven't driven it enough lol. Looks clean enough, just do the usual checks if you go see it, you'll only know yourself about the clutch when you test drive it. I'm still on the original at just about 80K and its still fine. Make sure there's no rattles from the suspension either. And if you wanna be super paranoid, go to the governments 'MOT History' site and see what kinda of advisories/fails its had. They obviously would need fixed for future MOT's but it can give you an idea of whats been going wrong with the car sometimes. Good luck! Rare colour too
  14. I've never seen the fascination with slamming something. A video on Instagram came up the other day and it was a red US 350Z totally slammed and the wheels were on the furthest angle of tilt they could possibly be and it had to slowly skirt round every tiny bump in the road. There is no point lol It looks crap and you can't drive the car like it was supposed to be driven .... Keep it standard...ish haha
  15. Hopefully you have taken the edges down too far...so there not rattling about so to speak. Mind you it'd need to be a fair bit either side to do that as the little cross holder should keep em in place
  16. I keep thinking about this but every year I look at the previous pics it just looks like a chav fest tbh with modded hatches etc (I know there are some supercars but when you look at the pics, theres more boggo stuff that someones just bumpered up). Love the HR Nismo and the colour on the red one, lovely!
  17. Mines usually needs more than a file lol
  18. I'm looking at it and wondering if its the same problem as said above. The calipers corrode and push the metal bits inside out so you need to grind the pads down a bit to fit.... (the side edges obviously...not the front or back of it haha). Pain in the backside, always get my mate to do it. I forgot the day I decided to change em.... was a bad day lol
  19. Heading off the expressway right at the end saw a black 350 turn at the first left then the sunset one was next to me up another road....sunset one looked very clean. Around 3:40pm odds
  20. It'll 'return' at some point lol I had mine replaced.... then that one a week later developed a defect...replaced free, no big deal. Week later...*ping!*, couple of tiny tiny scuffs at the top... I left them. Your always gonna get something lol
