Ok, were gettin' close to buyin a zed... bout 5 weeks in fact (thanks taxman )....but I've got a serious question... Where in North Lanarkshire (I'm inbetween Glasgow n' Edinburgh)... is their a decent Service/Repair place that I can trust and doesn't cost a bomb??? I use a local place I trust just now, but the Zeds a bit more special than my coupe, so I want somewhere whos gonna treat it right and use the right oil etc.... Any ideas??? (Tranquill bass / Neil, wheres urs done??) Cheers!

No your not the only one! lol Its meant to sag in the middle! its apeing the original. And yes i do agree it seems overly designed. thats the thing nowadays (hes says being... 26) older cars looked great because there was hardly any mess and design in them, simple flowing lines. Now modern cars (especially if trying to copy an older one) have too much effort input, style overtime, angles here and there. They should have kept the rough design, proportions, but left out all the vents and fixed the front proportion a bit. I'm fine with the side and rear. ... I'm fighting a loosing battle. Good job I like Zeds... or use would all get it! lol

Just caught a glimpse of a previous post .."high clutch bite"... no Zed ive driven, theres been a few... has ever had a high biting point??? How far up is normal? Usually i would give half way up the pedal. anything upwards is... well id be weary. Just thinking, since now close to buying. Any advice on that people??

Noooo no they haven't... its the front bit only, just doesn't sit right somehow. I won't accept people saying the back and side of it is wrong.. cos its basically the same as the original lol (disgruntled viper fanlol)

Its hills to get out of my town. Should make it interesting going to work next year when the Zed is present. ...Oh yes..only car lol. And if its really bad, it can sit in the car park and ill train it. A workm8 has an S2000... and they don't have any form of TC and he comes in... every winter... lol Brave son of a ... lol

Hmm right. This coming from an original GTS viper fan, loved its looks, captured my little kiddy mind when I was young. Wasn't the best car in the world, interior wasn't particularly special but the shear presence of the thing and the pace. The new one I see what you mean... its the front...theres something not quite right, I keep wanting to say its the height of the front bumper, looks as if it comes down too much, but I dunno. Bonnets a bit over done. Just recieved a letter in today from years 07-09... wth the same sort of figure on each, but different... i thought...HANG ON! But no.... turns out its just showing you how it built up each year... so no 3 x £650... lol On the plus side i've just realised while ive put money in my bank to pay off the current car, ive got 2 payments (one just been) coming out via ddeb, so not as much as i thought to put by... and i get paid... on the 15th. Which means.... in the next 2-3 weeks i should be able to pay my current car off. ... the following month i get a big bonus in my wage. what does this all add up to I hear you say??.... well unless my car breaks down...(touch wood)... the hunt for a Zed begins..... in ... 5 WEEKS!

Drove up a 60 road near a factory at my bit this morning to get to work. Well know for being horridly icey and bad during winter... as i toddled down it at about 20... a BMW 58' 3series drove past the other way as if it wasn't icey at all! I think some people are just... good drivers perhaps? lol I've tried to move my friends old 57 M spec 3Series in snow... its fat tyres moved...hardly. Yet in the bad weather we had last time where the country came to a stop... a guy in a 3series was doing better than most front wheel stuff.... lol

I've only test driven a few and god... thats a bit dramatic for a statement lol. Honestly, find some good country roads out the way of everything, preferably on a sunsetty evening and enjoy it! Surroundings help with the 'car mood'. Yeah its bad cos' your stuck with speed limits and traffic jams .... but at the end of the day... your sitting in something special. Next time you're unsure... possibly in a traffic que... just look out the window at whomever is sitting next to you. Bet 90% of the time its nowhere near as special looking/feeling/sounding as a Zed! (and i don't even own one... YET... )
