Nope your right, I knew it was a bump in price, just curious to why it would be sitting for 2 years...for sale... you'd think a dealer would get shot of it at an auction if it wasn't going anywhere. If i was going it would be severe haggling and pointing out others prices but the lack of no oil changing for a good while and the dodgy ..not sellings enough to keep me at bay. Apparently the dealers known for 4x4's and thats what they sell. When I phone the guy up asking about the service history, he advised 2 stamps, nissan (arnold clark..hmm lol)... 21K and its been there for 2 years. I thought i'd misheard and he'd owned it...but no.. its been for sale...for 2 year...its in Ayr. Wierd one, straight away im not liking the lack of servicing but its been in that dealership for 2 year. Just curious if anyones out that way, cos surely it'd have gone by now unless it was a complete riot. But 21K?..

CANCELLED. lol You were all pretty much right about walking away...although took a bit of digging. The cost...meh... but when speaking to the guy tonight (which no disrespect to them, they both were sound and were not pushin for anything, offered refund without issue of deposit) I mentioned the cooling pipes were different... then got told its got an exhaust and some mods on it... so straight away, deal breaker. Can deal with a carbon cover but not loads of pipework etc... nice that it took this long to be told about. Stock please as I don't plan on doing anything much else...stubby..tints.. perhaps cover on the engine lol. I realise my eyes were a bit rose tinted and I may still have been interested IF.. it had no mods... but its got a few..so... Feel free to take the p**s And onwards we keep lookin... honestly i am sorry lol I have looked at a few, its not been the first but it was the most decent one so far so that prob why I got a bit.. hungry...

Noooo, finance is not the issue. lol Originally i wanted to do 3yrs...just better save a bit of cash.. because its such a rare decent find.. i as willing to stretch to 4. As ive said spoke to good few mechanics that advised that it shouldnt be too much of an issue, as it looks like its just been serviced on the mileage rather than yearly. It all comes down to viewing and driving. Yes you could get the immulcified gunk, but the dealer i bet would have wiped that lol, apparently this can happen anyway if you only use your car for short distance journeys too, but doesnt neccesarily mean the engine has an issue. Servicing i wouldnt say all over the place, its been done just bfore 10K, fair enough its been a while since it was bought lol Cost wise, ive looked at 07 DE's and there all for the same price and then if i took ma car off and financed it...id end up at the same cost give or take. been sent photos of the car, offered the originals, it goes elsewhere to have the backgrounds shoved in, so it may have just not had the angle...so they put it in... im viewing it so id see any issue..(from the well angled and multiple pics theres nothing wrong with the body - exterior wise anyway) The MAIN issue i think from everyone is... its almost the same as some..(as ive looked) HR's. I wouldnt be wrong in saying the DE is a bad engine? (obviously ill be checking with mechanic on sat if viewing). I'd rather run this thing into the ground so would hope to keep for at least the 4 yrs. As most on this will know its my little 'peak' car, im not gonna get better for what it is and has. So end cost...is not something thats gonna kill me. So, cost, not so bothered, DE...still not exactly gonna do me wrong.. , servicing being left for a while..something i can only really see issues with when i see and drive it? Does that sound fair enough? Or am i just talking nonsense. I know you all know fine well better than me as you own them lol I do not agree and i will never argue with that .. so the only issue bar cost is the service... what can i do... drive it is all?

Roadster isn't my cup of tea. lol Hum. Yes I can afford the monthly payments...so therefore I can afford the car.. we don't all have...lots of £££ lying about As I said the rest of the cash comes from interest..unavoidable if im doing finance lol. Hmm. I think im gonna have to cancel this which is depressing, but possibly more sensible if I can get an HR... but if i was going for an HR... I do need it from a dealer to trade in, it needs to be around £11,500 and for that price Id want 25K ish mileage. *goes and looks*.. hum. Is that it though, ive spoke to quite a lot of decent mechanic and short of looking at it the service shouldnt be too much an issue given mileage just..check it when i see it. Is it really the RESALE and VALUE holding of it that everyone is on about.. give me a straight answer, cos if it is..then its not a huge concern for me. I may try and push for a 2 nd yr warranty out them but besides that...

Whats PCP ? protection thing or something? And in terms of if its only resale value that people are making the fuss about.. thats not particularly high on my list tbh... it seriously isnt... i got my coupe near as new and didnt bother about it and still dont. I just wanna make sure (obviously via checking mostly) that the engine is still ok and im not buying something thats considered... crap. A good few have the DE's and am i right in saying theres no synchro issue with 06 feb onwards? I just checked some loans and the lowest for the amount still comes out around £249 over 48months.. £4 cheaper per month.. and 2 months less in total. Plus if i get a loan, I can't change the payment amounts can't I? I could only lower the actual amount. (im just thinking worst case scenario). EDIT: Ok put it this way, if the car is mint and still running ok despite the servicing... what should i aim to be paying, amount to finance with my car off it is £10, 263.... what do you think it should be? (bearing in mind its been traded in and they' will have gave ?? for it)As low as 9Kish?

I've just had a look on Autotrader and some other sites...private... 57 onwards between 15 and all the way up to 35K are all around the 12-13K mark. Fair nuff after my coupe comes off, the cars finance is for £10,263... which seems to be decent for 07' wioth only 17K on the clock. The reason its higher at the end of just over 12K is that the interest is present. Whether its a loan (slightly cheaper) or finance that extra 1500-2K odds is gonna be there somewhere. I don't have the cash to buy outright so either way I'll pay more at the end. I dont see any other way of avoiding interest..unless I rob a bank.. or steal one.. lol And the pics i found out goes somewhere else to put the backgrounds in etc, its not the dealer...apparently. But im going to see it anyway... so they can't hide stuff on the body.. Does anybody see my point? lol With the finance extra cash thing?..

Ok, loan wise I'll likely just go with the finance they've given, ive spent to long pondering. If worst came to worst and near the end of term, id just put some money buy like a did the coupe and pay it off, but I plan to keep this... for quite a while lol. Ok...issues i raised and called back and was called back also... (they've been helpful ill give them that..but dont worry i still take with a pinch of salt lol). 1. 12 MOT great.. 12 month warranty... my issue..distance, do i need to take it to them? No.. any cared 4 nissan dealer, just fone them with the problem first and i can go to any others...eg. Alex noble eidnburgh etc. 2. Dent... just been sent loads of detailed pics of it..and i hardly see it. a small blemish on silver will not bother me. but its been fixed and just gonna get a final polish.. but i dont see anything really..good. (the photoshop thing..guy apparently didnt know about and looked at it..then seen... they send the original photos off to another place to do the background etc, so could be they just wanted both angles if it wasnt there...he offered to send the originals to me also. 3. This water oil stuff. Spoke to ..(you'd be surprised) quiet a few mechanics (u'll know how paranoid i am if uv been on here long enough). Although its not been serviced eveyr single year, i know wht am lookin' for, and been told it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Cars that apparently dont get used a lot will have some condensation etc which will usually burn off when oil up to temp...ok. Same with the engine knocking...I can only see/hear...when i see the car. End off really, makes sense..its all down to viewing and test drive. 4. The car itself looks mint from the pics, i know you've been saying about HR etc, but having found this one with only 17K and other ive seen with 30K + and same price etc... im ok with it, i know its dear, but hey.. I need to finance it...im not made of £££ lol (but i can still run it before u jump in! ) so there is always gonna be a £2odd K interest thing.. same with the coupe same with any other car id buy. depending obviously on variation of the cost , but usually for tht amount 2Kish..so im ok with it. 5. Ill go see it and take a damn ..damn good amount of time with it, cold engine/warm engine..the feckin lot lol everything from wipers to exhausts will be looked it and faffed with. Im even gonna use the cd player... expecting the usual.. You've all told me the engines are fairly reliable... i know how expensive the fuel is....all i can do now is go see it and drive...would you not agree??? I know your all on about cost etc, but im ok with it, i just now need to know the car is. So if you've any MANDATORY things to check with the 296... plz remind me now and help me as best u can! Thank you!! honestly thank you... PS. Taking it with a pinch of salt mind... the 2 guys who owned are customers of the newcastle place, last guy traded in for a 370. The guy on the phone mentioned a carbon fibre jobby thing under the hood (which looks clean) and sure enough... there is a cover.. looks nice. But anyway...I can only go and look. I could get better ...just...but i fear with more mileage..so im gonna inspect it to death and hope for the best!!

Well my requirements did change to the older ones, but since this was perfect from the first set i wanted..right colour, spec, everything and the mileage a nice bonus.. i didn't mind skipping over to 4 yrs...but now im getting a bit worried over this photoshop thingy. He advised a dent but and its now fixed.... aaargh.. i dunno. May have to call this off.

He did explain the dent thats apparently been fixed...(we'll see on sat) and now the service things getting to me. The cost itself after all the interest is high, but the cars financing only 10K odds. the only reason its more is cos the finance has interest..which im always gonna have cos i need to finance my next car so... Nope your right! The guy said there was a tiny ding on it somewhere but it had been fixed by dent something or other... so when i see it I expect it not to be there lol. Lexx, how far away are you? It looks like Saturday ill view it at carlisle but if anybody is near or know anybody who could have a quick gander at it in Newcastle, would be much appreciated!. Guys gonna take photos tomorrow for me and email me them, so ive not got the random crappy ones on the site with the backgrounds. Just wanna see the car as is. Done, sent him pics of my car, detailed, ok with it, worked out figures. so were lookin' at £253 per month for 50 months. 07' 17107miles 1st service 9558 oct10' 2nd 14610 2012..forgot the month. 3rd service just done there the now, 4 new tyres...bridgestone potenza...but hey.. lol Deposit down, waiting on guy fonin back to organise time for saturday, trasported to carlisle for me. Looking at a pretty nice car with less than 20K on it for a 2007, 2 owners. Anybody got suggestions of why a car like this would only have 2 with such low mileage? Or is that thinking too much, i know some people only use as weekend cars but...still 2 within less than 20K? .. about to fone them the now lol
