  1. Yes they can...I've seen some bodykits that should never have been made! lol That one in the video is not chav...its just... a mess lol Who in there right mind has money to burn on wasting such a good and...moderatley expensive car lol
  2. Oooooh thats a shiny Zed!
  3. Thanks Colin! And ilogikal1! Hey Wizurd, I've had a good look at it today in the light (as for most of the week not seen it as due to work its dark when I get up and gettin dark when I go home lol. Not as bad as I thought. Tranquilbass had said my colour wouldn't show the chips as much and he was right, theres a kinda greyish primer colour underneath so not too bad, but I will be looking for some sort of touch up brush thing. In terms of who to go to, dunno, got the right paint code for mine now, so just a case of finding it. Could try Nissan or somwehre else. Fairly newish on 58plate so the paint shouldn't be too...'aged'. Only thing I'd suggest is test it out on sum metal or something first! Done this with my last car. I expect chips, just didn't want one so quick lol. I will learn to live with them
  4. speaking of.... The dealership I got mine in had a Ferrari 612... it had protection film... it looked terrible you can see egdes and over time its just coming off or the edges become more visible by the looks of it. Dunno if theres anywhere in Scotland near that does a decent job of it or I'd possibly consider, but not like the Ferrari, I'd want the edges hidden lol I will PM indeed!
  5. Would I be correct in saying the Twilight Grey (or Gray as they seem to have it on sites)... colour code is "K51" ?? 58 plate.
  6. ... Just 'awesome' lol! Meh, what can you do..its a car...and there are...trucks with unsecured stones...B*******!! lol That aerial Steve, saw the pic looks much better than the S2000, nice one piece jobby. Take it it works ok? also will it be a good fit and i mean has it got a decent thread. On my coupe I bought a few and they had like 1 and half cm threads that barely screwed it in, had to cut a bolt thing to size myself and wedge it in the car and then fire the aerial on lol. Plus how do I pay you ..securley lol Cheers!
  7. Ah nice... yep its a 58' plate. Thanks!
  8. Oh btw, looking' at my signature there, what colours my car? lol I know its grey but unsure if its twilight or gunmetal (only really seen it clean and in the sun once lol)
  9. Well on the old coupe I had Limo tint, now this would stop you seeing the Z bar at the back but I'm not too fussed, I've been getting annoyed with lights shinning in my mirror since picking it up lol So used to havin ma rears dark lol. Plus it hides the rest of the 'boot'.
  10. Truck.... stone.... bonnet... ...yeah.... lol Should I buy a touch up brush for this? Any recommendations? lol Just got the damn thing.... ah well. Hopefully get some decent pics up soon once ive got my windows done on monday and an S2000 aerial on.
  11. Spoke to a few now and my lack of mechanical knowledge showing through lol. Yes your right its fairly normal, especially apparently on a cold start, just the Cats doing their job basically. apparently even new cars can do it. I worry ... its just a charactaristic (did i spell that right?) lol. Through time it should go away also apparently. As I said its not all the time, just the odd occasion. Anyway worry over, thanks for the replies! lol
  12. Boot divider present lol First mods this weekend/next week (not a major modder but I like the simple things lol), so... rear windows tinted on Monday and at the weekend try and get a hold of an S2000 aerial!
  13. I know I've only started driving it for the last 3 days but would it be anything to do with more regular use now its in my hands? lol the thing only did about 5K a year with the previous owner, but it'll be out every day now. 30 mile round trip at least 5 days a week for work.
  14. Now that you mention it, it has been in the mornings, but I didn't smell it on the way to work, then I parked up and 10mins later went back out to show a work m8 the 'new breif' and started it up and smelled it? Is it normal then just first thing? What is it? lol I'll keep an eye...or nose about it, see when it arises and what im using at the time... ill update back. Any suggestions let me know though. surely not the Cat though... its 58' on 16000miles, and ive had it looked at underneath, right enough might not be able to detect that but meh...
  15. Hmm, knew everything was going a bit...'swimmingly'. Ok so smelled it once before, but then smelled it again this morning, its not always there as was out in it yesterday and it didn't materialise. (tried search but it won't let me search for it?? lol). Egg smell.... Looked up, and apparently this can be a number of things? The Cat...fuel injection? ... or a heating element thing. I've had my heated seats and heater on the last few days but can't mind if its been there without them on. Any help appreciated!... grrr. lol
  16. Oh btw, short of searching ... anyone used 'Revolution Performance Motorstore' down in Newcastle??, just down from the Lotus dealership (where I bought my car). Just been on the site and they look like a good'un and there was a good few Scoobs in when they had the car on ramps for my m8 to look underneath. They did the service for Lotus/me.
  17. I've only test driven ..3 or 4 or somthing...i mind writing that on here too! lol Thats not many! But yes I am, and I will be careful! I don't feel the need to just go and be mental with it, one of the best parts of owning it is just sitting and driving normally, in the knowledge...you just don't have to 'show off' ...you just don't. lol The looks of the car/people staring at it say it all I think lol God its awesome lol
  18. I know you would... nasty person.. lol And I haven't done it yet, even though I'd rather do it in the wet (for tyres sake lol), which it has been and somewhere spacious to see what it does.. but i'll leave that for another 'brave' night lol
  19. Noticed this aswell! When its cold and jumping on the motorway it will breifly jump up but it should settle
  20. Well, had the Zed now for 3 days... so heres the first impressions... lol - The road noise is terrible, because theres no seats in the back or anything on top of the empty boot space...you hear everything even spray in the arches on a very wet road. - Its very clunky and mechanical (but I quite like this), the gearbox, the shift, its all a bit 'clattery'...and not in a broken way, just... noisey lol - Its stupidly fast, no matter what gear. 6th can be a bit slower but soon summins up the power... - Its unbelievably torquey...as I can go round juntions and turns in 4th or 5th gear, some swoopy junctions in 6th O.o lol - As long as you don't have a brick attached to your foot its not as bad as you think on fuel... (I'm expecting rubbish but my idea of good is 30mpg, since my last one only did between 25-35mpg). I've been on a good long run, without going mental, just driving normaly through streets, start stop, couple of hard acclerations to get past on a dual carridgeway and all throughout the journey it did 28-29 mpg...ALL THE TIME. And I've had it over 30...breifly lol - It sounds fantastic! Even when pulling away, what a growl! - The clutch is heavyish, but way better than the pre-06's I've tried lol Fine with the clutch now, just the odd jerk and still trying to get it completly smooth when going for the bite on the hill, you have to give it a good few revs to get her on the move, but no major issue lol - I've mastered the bluetooth for recieving calls, but dialling out I have to do it on the phone then put it down as it comes through the speakers... still dunno how to do the voice thing or if it stores numbers, the manuals annoying.. lol - Its waaay comfier than expected. - The stability of it is amazing, although I had the back out a tad tonight by accident when turning onto a road, but it sorted it out for me before I had time to react... appreciated lol - People just stare at it lol - Focus ST's swarm round it like annoying flies then speed off or overtake you in a hurry lol - Civic Type-R owners try desperatly not to look at you as you go past...even though you can see their dying to lol - People move out your way (and not in a driving like a knob way), must be the arches make it seem wider? - The bi-Xenons are fantastic!(how long do they last? Someone I know with them from an 06' car has never replaced his!) - The brakes are good, crisp and a good tight feel from the top, superb - And lastly... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! :teeth:
  21. Doin ma head in, ive paired it...so im assuming calls to me come in over the stereo now. Tried the 'voice' making call bit, n dunno.... just dunno.. tried following the manual but ill need to be spoon fed by someone in person at some point. ill do it another day, not the highest of priorities lol
  22. I tried looking and wasn't sure. Although it was a bit early this morning so could have been half asleep. I'll give it another bash lol Still woke up this morning and looked out the window thinking.. ive actually bought one of those! lol
  23. Thank again everybody! Absoloutly stunned with it, superb. Only item trying to get used to is the clutch. Its fine, spot on...but its a heaver load than the coupe so slightly jerky in the first couple of gears but meh lol. Only thing that ive not set up is the bluetooth phone thing, gonna do a search, but if anyone wants to help, feel free lol Do I just switch my phone bluetooth on and pair it with the car when ignitions gets turned on? .. how do I do this?
