  1. I have narrowed it down to three cars with the wife...... Focus ST2 as im a ford man, but need the st2 not 3 as 3 children, and not many about. VW Golf GTi as the wifey wants id prefer the R32 Leon FR I likey! wifey no likey? Or a qashqai or juke which we both like 'ish' and from our local nissan garage we can get a good deal as the 350 came from them too Or another 350z but that means we have to take 2 cars everywhere, so not that practical. Please help me decide as im going mad here!!!! Cheers all
  2. Indeed! Only problem i have now is that i have to get a new car which after i have just got the Z creates some issues for me. Im looking at getting another hot hatch as it were. So Golf GTI, Focus ST2 or a Leon FR unless anyone has more sugestions? What to get??????? Help me
  3. I have heard today that the driver and passenger are still in hospital, in major discomfort. Sad aint it!
  4. Im not sure im old enough to go volvo said my wife, lol In a way i agree. That time will come im sure, decent car for sure! And im lovin the juke, but im not sure id like to own one if you know what i mean? and the 159 sweet looking ride but i need a car thats reliable too, my mate bought one last year and it is always in the dealers, and im sure its not cos they just wanna look at it. I will add that to my bullet points. lol
  5. Im under the impression that the insurance company are going to write off my mondeo from my previous post and am looking probably prematurely. But looking around the budget we have opens us up to quite some choice. Im looking to spend about £12000. And im looking for these aspects of a car; 1, 5 doors as 3 children 2, A little sporty looking as i like heads turning 3, reasonably quick as the mondeo is a 2.5v6 4, something the wife will like as you know! lol 5, something cheap to repair if things go wrong! 6, RELIABLE.................. 7, something the wife is able to drive AND PARK???, NO BOATS ETC!!! I at present like the focus st2 and you can get one within the budget, a facelift model 08 too. also looking at audi, vw and bmw but not cheap to repair. I appreciate any pointers in the right direction and thank you in advance in my time of need.
  6. I had a worcester bosch 28i junior boiler fitted last december with a digistat and a fernox set. A mate fitted it for me as gas safe. I did all the rads 8 in total supplied it all myself at a cost to me of £1400 and my mate charges me £600 including the copper. We moved the boiler from the kitchen to in the loft. Cant recoment the boiler enough very economical indeed and its all my mate fits as bosch give a 5 year guaruntee. Best of the best imo. Good luck with it fella
  7. Pending approval from the Boss Won't be the same without you Will I will not be bringing my +1 as she has to stay home and clean the flat and cook my tea for when I get home after my day out... Im guessing your +1 doesent read the posts you put on here then! A braver man than i to speak such true words!! I will try to get there as enjoyed the last meet there. Had some issues recently that have got a bit on top of me. Will do me upmost.
  8. Indeed, none had seatbelts on. Thier heads were evidence of that. Its the one in the boot that got me, he walked away with no problems at all. Note to self if im stupid enough to get into a car with a drunk driver, which would never happen in a million years, get in the boot! lol. And im Hoping they will have woken up this morning a little more than hangover in a hospital bed surrounded by angry looking coppers! Yeah baby! Although saying that. The driver will probably blag it that he needs his licence to work and will get 11 points and a thirty quid fine! And his mates will think hes a hero as none of them died and by next weekend they will probably be out doing it again! Life sucks dont it.....
  9. Also it was an interesting conversation with the nice traffic officer. To start with where the skids started was 43.8m from my van, Which he did a calculation on that he was doing between 70 and 80mph at time of braking and hit my van at between 30 and 40mph. All this on a 30mph zone. Hence the damage above. Was carnage and somewhat surreal that all this happened right outside my house with the company van and my st200. Im starting a campagn with the other residents to get something done about this! Its a 2.5 mile road thats reasonably straight and the boyos use it as a race track! I love my cars and am completely gutted that one drunk idiot can accrew so much damage, both to the vehicles and the people involved. And the cost to the government astonishing, 3 fire engines, 5 police cars, 3 ambulances and a doctor car. Then the crime scene people with the cameras and measures etc. Unbelievable!
  10. Police confirmed that he had 3rd party insurance, so no issues there and he accepted responsibility immediatley. The driver of the piece of sh1t was 25 and the passengers ranged between 17 and 30. They were all drunk, completely drunk! The idiot driving told the fuzz that he only had 6 pints and he only went out to get some beers with his mates... Says it all really.... My insurance company are very very good so far. Im with morethan. One call about 35 mins and i got all relevant info i needed to sit back the rest of the day! Im getting a mazda 6 sport of similar as a courtesy car delivered tomorrow any my car is going to lifestyle ford tonbridge asap. Could have done without the grief, good to know that all is in hand and i have to wait for them to contact me etc.
  11. Damn my van is jinxed! Writen off by a drunk driver at 1130pm last night. And to add insult to injury, he pushed my parked van forward by 8ft onto the pavement knocking my parked mondeo into the neighbours parked car too. Not nice to say but he and his 5 passengers 'yes i said 5 passengers as there was an extra one in the boot, who did a runner' deserved to be taken away in ambulances! Grief, no sleep, worry about insurance etc makes me a very unhappy boy! Still at least the Beast was in the garage out of harms way! And no one apart from the idiots were hurt!
  12. abandoned 350z silver on sky news in exeter???
  13. Sorry to hear you have fallen victim to the weather Iain, but as Sarnie Lexx and Wasso have found recently, sometimes it dosen't matter how good, or young, or old the driver is, we can all get caught out. It really means that average or poor drivers in good driving conditions become a much greater liability, when the weather turns for the worse. Saying that as I'm not sure what you are classing as old  Sorry fella, im talking at least 45. lol Ha hahahaha No, old as in 80's, the ones that know they shouldnt be driving but do it anyway!
  14. Indeed liam, was sorry to hear that at least it wasnt the beast! Im guessing the wifey wasnt too impressed? The roads, to be honest down here are atrocious. Really. I can see why the met office issues warnings. I attempted to go to blockbuster last night in the st200 and stood little to no chance, i valliantly drove the 1 mile journey at 10mph all the way and still lost control several times. Needless to say i will be at home for the day as we had a heavy frost over night. If i get out i will but some ice skates, lol. The old boy in the yaris that caused the accident went out for some milk just in case he got snowed in! Old peeps+cars....... Fail Old peeps+cars+snow..... No brainer really!
  15. I had the same problem at mercedes benz world last weekend stopped close to the end of the operation. Tried it about 3 times as didnt want to do any damage. Although about lunchtime when we returned to the car, it was about 3' it worked fine.
  16. Yesterday afternoon we had a small amount of snow and the ground was already frozen, so as you can imagine it was like a skating rink. I had to travel about 12 miles home from peacehaven to eastbourne. It took me over two hours to get back onto the outskirts of eastbourne. I was sitting on a main road at a crossroad in traffic minding my own business. Some old boy in a toyota yaris flew out of a sideroad and was hit at about 30 mph by another idiot in a sprinter van, straight on the drivers door! As it seemed that it wasnt enough to only write off the yaris he of course careered into the front of my van damaging the front bumper, both lights pointing the wrong way, completely ripped off the front manifold etc. 'One bunus, now sounds like a sports car'. Also the yaris was pushed down the road a bit and also hit my van. Luckily enough its a company van and everyone was ok. Just suffering from frostbite after waiting over 2 hours for the plod to arrive in -6. Just goes to show it is all the other idiots on the road that cause the problems. I feel your pain liam and wasso, i hope that this list of accidents doesent get bigger..
