  1. Sounds spot on! So... ringing round... as I need these tyres ASAP... the only ones I can get hold of this week are either the PS2's or RE050's 724 for the Potenza's 760 for the PS2's .... so I am guessing for the extra forty notes I should really go for the Michelin's....?
  2. So I presume they are for racing really? I am not adverse to paying extra for tyres... that is the whole point. My pockets are a little shallow at the mo due to my DBA/DS2500 upgrade all round. So I need to justify the extra cost of the PS2's over the VUS. I don't push the car THAT hard... Im thinking the PS2's might be over kill for a weekend car that I don't push too hard...
  3. Pricey... to be expected I suppose... Are they really THAT much better than the Sassanta's?
  4. Indeed, I would suggest 4 different makes, 1 for each corner just to make weekends interesting Seems no-one has any Falcons OR ULTRACS in at the moment I have been offered Yokohama Advanced Sport ... anyone heard of them? £10 MORE a corner than the Ultracs....
  5. Cheers willy... Looks like a race between the Falken 452 and the VReds...
  6. On my current alloys I have Vredestein Ultrac Sassantas, which I have to say I have been very impressed with... Both in the wet and the dry. (AND the Ice, to be honest!) Is there anything better out there I should know about?
  7. So I now have my standard GT alloys to go on the car... but the tyres on them are naff and all mixed and matched... so which tyres are the 'best' for me to get to put on them? I can stretch to about £600 for the four.... She is a weekend driver, so I am not too fussed about them lasting a long time. I occasionally drive long distances (about 400 miles in a day, once a month) She is NEVER 'raced' ... or tracked. Even though I have just put some lovely new brakes on her Suggestions people? Makes... models... Plus sizes please. (These are the 18" x 8.0 front, x 8.5 rear) Cheers
  8. VTECs are lovely wen you are a kid... I used to rag my DelSol around something rotten! but I wouldn't want one now... As Tarmac says... big engine cruising/grunt it the way to go. and diesel for economy. that Audi Mookstar posted is lovely... to trade off...
  9. Look for rear square plates.... and Added rear fogs....
  10. That's not a million miles off what mine were.... you might want a chat with :-)
  11. BUGGER.... Fitted them all ready before washing them... Anyone know what I should do? Wash them NOW? While they are on?
  12. WOO HOO!!! Thanks to I now have new discs and pads all round! DBA 4000 6x6 wiper slots DS2500 SO .... how do I drive her now to get the most out of them? She is a weekend girl, but I have to drive to Reading (about 200 miles) on Monday. I can drive her before then... so what do I need to do to be sure I bed in the brake properly? Cheers peeps....
  13. Yup... Keep this up and I will have to sell ANOTHER one of mine!
  14. I hear that. Bought some standard alloys... but now I can't afford to put tires on them or have them refurb'd
  15. Yup... that is discs AND pads... (And fitting) And they are the CHEAPER ones... the PF ones are £550 for JUST FRONT DISCS!
  16. I was VERY surprised how bloody expensive they were! Was sure "performance" discs I used to buy for the DelSol were under £100 a corner. they must have been pants ZMAlex did me a good deal. you better speak to him, see what he can do for you. Question you have to ask is... how much is it worth to have FULL confidence in your braking? £250 a corner is a LOT... but I think it's worth it.
  17. My rears had a lip on the disc, only 3-4mm ... and the rear pads needed changing. I am ALWAYS preaching about how you can't skimp of brakes or tires... So, putting my money where my mouth it, I ordered some DBA 4000's and DS2500 ALL ROUND from ZManAlex yesterday, hoping they will be here today so I can fit them Again... only TWO things you should NOT skimp on... Brakes and Tires. Only thing that stop you. Just my tupenth....
  18. chuck a poll on! I fill to the brim, as and when I need to. but I don't drive her much with working from home.
  19. Maybe a few extra seconds to think about it ... but then still no
  20. Not kissing you with sick in your mouth!
