  1. Cheers Ian... So I can get the HR sold then Just need to work out WHICH side the air box is, then someone might want it....
  2. From what I can tell (Mine is 03) the major difference is the interior... As well as the few BHP extra (and smoother/more lbs through the range) Plus the HUGE difference in Road Tax!!! Pre 06 is around £260 a year.... post 06 is over £450!!!
  3. Care to go a little further with that explanation? DE? HR?
  4. I am trying to get my car back to standard and the airbox is my next step. Managed to pick this/these up .... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0763903314 All the advert said was: "NISSAN 350Z AIR FILTER HOUSING BOX I HAVE TWO TYPES FOR BOTH SPECS PLS LET ME NO WHICH ONE YOU WANT OR IF YOU WANT BOTH !!!!!!!!! PARTS WILL BE CLEANED BEFORE DELIVERY !!!! NO RESERVE" Thought I would take a punt for £40 .... Can't work out (as the guy didn't answer any emails or eBay messages) if this is a pre 06 AND a post 06 box? or a Left and right form a newer model... or what?!!?! Anyone want to take a stab at what I have bought before it/they turn up?
  5. Look for the "bulge" in the bonnet. No bulge is either 276 (Pre Facelift, pre 2006) or 296(Post face lift, post 2006) 309bhp HAS a bulge... i.e. Dave talking about an advert for a 2005 car (pre bulge AND pre facelift) claiming it has 300bhp
  6. Hello! Loads on info on here about what you need... A pre 06 model (in your price range) is about 276ish standard. With a plenum spacer and a remap... you can get circa 300bhp out of a pre 06 pretty easily. Any more and you will have to go FI....
  7. Yeah, I have had two before now... The one I had on my Delsol was ace. Subtle at low revs and just loud enough on the power, without it being annoying on the motorway... Great bit of kit... Decent price too!
  8. Going to tell us what the decision is?
  9. To be fair NOW is the best time for a group buy on these! Can someone look into it?
  10. Yours is the facelift ... Could be an alteration between the two models?

  12. The few times I have needed it to come on... it has. Like the first time I came out of a roundabout in the wet, without thinking about it, 2-3 days after I had it, driving it like it was FWD... I got just a slap on the wrist to say... "Calm down dear" ... Which I am VERY grateful for, as it has all ways done what I needed/wanted it to. But nine times out of ten, it comes on when I don't need it to. As I said in the OP, if it is dry... OFF If it is anything else... wet/damp/uneven surface/over cast/chance of damp... ON. Those are my rules, I will stick to them
  13. That is exactly what I get! Difference in cars? Mine is 03, So WAY pre-facelift Do the newer cars have better/less intrusive TCS?
  14. That's the strange thing... I NEVER get it in 1st... Maybe I am more gentle in 1st? It is always 2nd...
  15. I like to think I have finesse with pedal feathering.... Maybe I don't? Would have thought the IAM would have picked up on it though!
  16. But... as I said earlier... I get bogged down in 2nd taking off briskly (not stupidly) and also my TCS cuts the power in quite a few places I driver regularly. Tried with the TCS off, driving in the same style and the tires don't even start to let go. Do I have a problem with my TCS? I don;t think so, as when it IS wet, it has slapped me on the wrist once or twice, exactly when I needed it. So why not turn it off in the dry?
  17. Sounds like a plan. Not something I would buy personally... but Im sure some bods will be after this kind of thing.
  18. I passed my IAM earlier this year.... (With the TCS ON!!) WELL worth it.. I even got into the F1RST club!
  19. Same here... Round about near my house, put the boot in as you exit... in second as you are coming off it and the TCS cuts the power... Do it with it off, same power, same aggression, wheels don't spin at all.... grip, grip and lots more grip.
  20. Really, I thought you learnt it the roundabout way OH YES I DID GO THERE Really do need to thank Dan AGAIN for telling me to get these tires... Cheers Ekona!
  21. Oh ... welcome to the forum... what do you drive?
  22. I think it is spelt "bad" not mad.... Plus they look VERY VERY heavy. Not my cup of tea...
  23. Just my heavy right foot then Tam says I am going into roundabouts hotter now. I guess I better calm down for my MPG's sake.
