  1. Well, the kit was working on the OEM... I think the mic is next to the dome light. Might go and have a look at what there is now. Anyone know?
  2. Looking to out the head unit in soon and want to link up the Mic for the hands free. Anyone give me a heads up as to where the mic cable is? Can't see one Thank you!
  3. I think your problem is the scratches bud. They look VERY bad on the photo's, probably worse than they are. Try taking some more photo's?
  4. Nah, no need for clean power to the camera, so I just took it in the direction the power lead needed to go.
  5. One question for you... what ALLOYS are you using? Some don't clear the brembos!
  6. Woo hoo!!! Got the drivers door wired up... So all I need to do now is wait for my doors to have the dings taken out of them (Tuesday) and I can start the sound proofing. Going to see how far I can get with sound proofing everything else OTHER than the doors tomorrow. Slowly, slowly catchy, monkey
  7. Well, as soon as I have it up and running, you will be the first to know! Hoping I can make some progress with it today and tomorrow.
  8. A couple of people have mentioned I haven't said how I fitted/wired up my super cheap reversing camera... So... There is a hole in the middle of the boot with a rubber grommet in it. Pull the grommet into the car and you will see a "tail" hanging down on the outside of the car, covered in black electrical tape, which is covering some rubber tubing to make the tale containing the cables. I carefully cut all that off and pushed the extension lead and power socket through it. Then once the camera is in place (stuffing the connectors in the hole first) you get under the car can hopefully can see the four cables. Connect them up I then pulled back some of the slack into the boot (possibly a bad idea, because if it doesn't work, I am going to have to take the bumper off to check the connections!) and taped up the grommet again with the rubber tubing and new electrical tape. For the power, I took the negative to a bolt in the boot. Then for the positive, I put a tiny slit in the light green wire in the grommet on the passenger side behind the reversing light, put her in reverse and used a power tester to check if there was power to it when the car was in reverse. Then I used a cable clip thingy to attach the power to the green cable. (There are two, a light green and a dark green, I will check which I used later today Running the video lead to the HU is pretty easy. I took the cable to the passengers side and followed the amp cables, then the aerial lead from the aerial. Saying all that, I am yet to connect it up to the HU, so it might all be crap as I haven't got it working yet!
  9. HA HA HA ... working hard on a Friday afternoon Ian?
  10. I really don't like red cars... (some do though!) But there is something about a dark burgundy/candy flip red that is SO SO nice...
  11. Not going to bother weighing it all. but once all the work is done, I am going to get the car weighed. See how bad it is I WAS aiming to have it all done and dusted by next weekend but I think that is just not going to happen. Think the new target for being finished will be the 17th/24th BBQ ... Hope no-one thinks it is going to be LOUD, because it WON'T BE. I am SQ ... NOT SPL!
  12. Me and Gav go WAY back... One of his best friends is one of my best friends. He is a really nice bloke. Loves his cars... but also has a tendency to kill them... my mate is now trying to figure out who you are and if he's met you Mention my second name.... Most people who have heard of me know it.

  17. Lucky for me, I loose my credit cards a lot.... (sound weird but go with it) So when the insurance company come to renew it, the card has usually be cancelled Then I get a call to sort out a new card setup with them. Saying that, I always do research into a new insurance company a month before my renewal is due anyway.
  18. Totally agree... Surely the M3 engine would be the wise choice? Then again, everyone has done that, never seen one of these before.... Maybe there is a reason why
  19. Yours is the reason I am wrapping mine I'm going for Matte black though, rather than satin.
  20. What the HELL is that plasti dip stuff? Looks ACE... Might risk a couple of cans doing my alloys!
  21. Cool.. and what did you use to wrap with?
  22. Same here... my solution is to get my local graphics place to wrap it all matte black. JUST dropped it all off. We will see what kind of job they do! (Someone suggested using a black crayon... not sure how effective that would be?)
