Can I add a teeny tiny but important warning......the temptation is to rest the heat gun in your lap if your sat down wrapping. Don't. I've got more scars from my attempts at wrapping than I have from doing spanner work! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

1St drive home from dealership and top end is knocking

It wasn't that we were challenging what you said there were just a couple of conflicting bits of info. I'm "glad" you've got a matching diagnoses so to speak (obviously it would be better if all of you were bang wrong!). So at least now you are armour plated to reject the car based on 2 expert opinions. Which I might add is exactly what you should do. It's a pup ......Send it back to the kennel from whence it came. 1St drive home from dealership and top end is knocking

Just being devil's advocate mate I'm genuinely trying to look at this so you don't get stitched and you've got your all your bits lined up. An ex stock car builder is NOT an expert unless he's a qualified mech running his own reputable business. A friend with a skyline is NOT an expert An ex 350z owner is NOT an expert A GTR specialist IS an expert in mechanics and the only one you can really reference when talking about these issues with the geezer. Only saying this because you need to be able to say with utter conviction "several industry experts XYZ have all concurred that this vehicle has XYZ problem" Even then your one true expert is saying they are a noisy engine. Could you not get it to an actual 350z expert (Abbey, Japex(?), Kaiser) or whomever is local to you who can say "your engine sir....is ****ed"? And all of the above is not meant to be condescending. It's to make sure you have the best chance of this being A) confirmed as a real problem by someone who knows confirmed by someone who is indefatigably a 350z expert Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk -

Sorry mate I'm getting a bit lost (only dipping in now and again). Post 48 you said you've had 2 specialists look at it and both said it was normal. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk -
Especially the 5 quid 'genuine' 3m stuff. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I can kind of see how you would arrive at that conclusion but as a detailer who's tried loads I can confirm you are bang wrong. Although I will admit MANY of them do seem that way Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Always amazes me the people I'm friends with on Facebook but I never clock who they are on the forum! Happy birthday mate Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

If I had to make a total (educated) guess I'd say there is an issue with the BCM and the comfort open/close mechanism. Your car has he hold key function where you can open or close all windows using the key fob. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Oh mate you didn't end up going for that ebay crap you were looking at did you! I told you to speak to Tarmacsports. Unless your bodyshop has the sculpturing craft of Michaelangelo I'd be inclined to agree with them. That ain't happening. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

The octane map question is one we've never really answered and it is important. Are Irish cars different to ours over the water? They must be otherwise we'd be debunking our own argument about blowing your engine to smithereens with the wrong octane fuel. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk -
Remember how confident I was at fitting it I think the words '30ft barge pole' were uttered Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Surely apm wouldn't take it on if they couldn't handle it ? Olly Apm are also part of SMC and GT Cars don't forget. They've got their own bodyshop. I am literally yet to hear one bad review about APM Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Guys it's a fecking tyre.....It is literally the thing that connects you to the road. A 70mph blowout isn't going to be any fun. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Hmmm. For my liking it's fubar. It's not only the rubber on the outside that you've worn off its also on the inside. Guess you've got to ask is it worth the risk. Perhaps ask the tyre garage to rip it off and inspect the inner wall. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

The annoying thing is I have absolute faith in you.....its just a joyless exercise trying to have a debate because you somehow always have your facts in order!!!! I saying that that it was a fairly moronic statement to start with to assume a near supercar would be cheap to service so I've only myself to blame Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Geezer I did a bit of work for had 2 brand new gtrs......Both blew the box Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Cobra back box - needs welding -FREE + PP

You'll need a welder who can weld stainless as well. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk -
This is probably true. Fiat group parts and servicing costs for their Alfa and Abarth labels is ridiculous btw. When I was researching to bebunk dans statement yesterday I found a quote of nearly a grand to service a 4c! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Left on your own! Isn't that specifically against the spirit of tough mudder! It's not even a time event. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Comparably I guess We've got a Brera in today....... £135 plus vat for a spring! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

It's a really tough comparable with all of these other cars though. Ferrari.....Will be older and way higher running costs Mazzer.....Will be older and way higher running costs Porker......Will never get a second glance but will be amazing to drive Gtr.....Will pull lots of 14 year old boys but no women Lotus......Well......Well you can't really argue about a lotus. Tesla......whole ghey engine argument fails on this onr If you can get over the fact that it's practically a vagina powered engine I think it'd be an amazing car to run day to day as an average human being rather than a wealthy one.
