  1. Looks even better in the flesh and that's saying something!
  2. Both much of a muchness I think. One of the brands is about 20 quid a plug though I think!
  3. Always fancied one of these especially after hooning round Fraser Island in Oz in one for 2 days..............nothing short of a neutron bomb would stop this thing! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251570644688?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 As per usual if you find me a buyer and they quote your name and the code ZFORUM25 you will be furnished with 25 of the Queens finest gold coins.
  4. Nope is the short answer!
  5. I'm gonna be devils advocate and disagree......sling before you start trying to chin a chain of problems into submission using only your wallet. Sometimes you have to know when to let go and let someone else chuck the grand or more that it needs at it.
  6. Also it they use the wiper washer cap as the match plate under the spectrometer it'll be matching it from a plastic panel and not metal......I say that as the washer cap is the easiest thing to remove so I reckon it gets used a lot. Azure is an unholy nightmare to match

Yes mate, passenger door, bonnet down to the kevlar and the CF back spoiler. They wont do it again. New bonnet arriving Saturday courtesy of Tarmac. The door is a mess but I will try to sort it before the weekend. Sorry to hijack the thead Pete. Utter utter bastards. It's such a cowardly thing to do! If you were a bit closer mate I'd pop round.
  9. If it's got bore score/knackered rings/valve seals and passing the rings thinner oil will be worse......sounds like Magnatec is gnats **** thin (hence them recommending a thicker viscosity). It's happening when it's getting hot because the oil runs thinner when hot. Read below. Bad valve seals will show themselves during prolonged idling at stop signs or traffic lights in congested city conditions. When the vehicle sits at idle for prolonged periods, high levels of vacuum at the intake manifold result because the throttle valve remains closed. The high vacuum attracts oil in the heads to congregate around the valve stems. Upon acceleration, the oil gets sucked past the eroding seal and down through the valve guide, where it burns in the exhaust. Huge clouds of blue-white smoke exit the tailpipe after each acceleration from a stop. The burning smoke will disappear during cruising or highway speed. Sounds like another one looking for an engine happening more and more this malarkey. That engine we took out (and by we I mean the royal we......i.e Chris the mechanic at my place while I watched and made tea) last week had majorly shat itself but it's very hard to diagnose why.
  10. Aye that's the one. See the blanking plates they show half way down.....I've done that to the astra I've got in stock to stop it happening! 'Design abomination'.......eloquently put!

Have a look at my website Pete......I've taken a lot of keying either completely out or really softened it to the point where you can live with it. http://www.revolveautomotiveltd.com/scratch-removal-softening.html
  13. Garage.....immediately and don't expect the diagnosis to be pleasant. Angel of a Doom over and out!

    Strange problem

I'd be checking that pressure sender again mate.......too much of a coincidence
  15. An Indy stamp will count for the same as a Nissan stamp from a resale perspective. A home service won't unfortunately. Make sure you keep all of the invoices if you intend to do it yourself.
  16. If you have access to Costco their own 30 pack is very good quality for the money
  17. Are these the ones that have the odd problem munching their own swirl flaps? Pretty sure you can 'de-swirl flap' these days though

  19. I'm intrigued to know what else you might have thought the thread was about when you read the title It is in the 370z section in fairness so it could have been one of those obscure build titles!
  20. Were you using the Farleca mitt or a different one? Yup the G3 one. Tried it again yesterday and it seemed a bit better. Perhaps it was just the car I was using it on.

  22. Against the grain with me this one.......I really like it!
