This is the man who as a senior manager for a large German bank thought it would be a good idea after being refuse gardening leave to shave a Hitler moustache in and post it on facebook with the caption 'let's see what they make of this on Monday'. Tact has never been my strong suit!

Apparently this was the little gem that took me to the 7k mark......how disappointing!
-
Remap on of those things and you getter hold on to your ass! Rapid!

Drove one. Hated it. Still the best looking car on the road from a longevity point of view.

I never hype about mods. But I'll make an exception. With HFC's this sounds like all the heavenly angels.......having a scrap with all of Hells yard dogs. Simply beautiful noise.

You've answered your own question - Yes it's still going, with a bunch of very nice, knowledgeable members (mainly 370 & GT-R owners these days), but you won't hear anything about it here because all mention of it is still banned for some weird reason - like the powers that be are afraid of something? I'd like to know if I'm wrong - or indeed what the reason is. Interestingly, mention of this forum is quite openly allowed 'over there'. Some members here are also active 'over there'. I joined this forum because I've been fairly obsessed with Z cars for over 10 years, since the 350 first came out, and currently own a 370 (until the new Z replacement arrives). What's this "other forum"?? PM me if you can't say here It's a savage place filled with orcs and nazgul I believe it's located in .....

I hate engines you have to thrash but by all accounts this is just a beautiful drivers car.

I polished that bloody spoiler! I'm coming round with a shotgun!

Is the 'other forum' the one that 'shall not be named' still going? You don't hear anything of them these days

I think I joined as a troll but I honestly can't remember anymore. I think I maybe fancied Husky?

Feel ill after seeing my car in direct sunlight (help)

I'm sure one of our resident trader detailers is up your neck of the woods. Is it Nimbus? -
G3 can be quite aggressive. It's typically used by bodyshops after the flatting stage to bring the paint back. After using G3 you'd probably want to use Farecla Ultrafina or Finess it. I like Wolfs Chemicals for the DA. Tim at Envy might still have some in stock going cheap ......he was having a clear out when I bought mine.

Cheers bud! I can't really take the credit. The paint bloke put the graft in.....I just made the brews!

Popped back to see what was going in with this guys thread............ Wish I hadn't. -
You've missed at least 400 'should I by a BMW' threads........per month. A few of the 'bulletproof engines' have indeed proven they are indeed bulletproof........sadly not 'snapped conrod punched through the block proof' People still wonder if they should buy crapspeed Lots of people still wondering how much their car is worth but continue to be very pi**ed off when they get told. People still think they can FI their car for a grand and get 1.1 billionty horsepower. This amazing new company called rEvolve Automotive signed up as a trader. They even do call out detailing work to Sweden provided all expenses are paid

Makes it more difficult to judge where the wear is wearing but it's quite normal so you don't need to be too wary of it

Halfrauds actually sell some very decent kit these days. Both detailing and mechanical. Like with anything though you can still buy the crap stuff. In saying that I've seen people do more damage buying the more pro products that halfords sell than I do the crap stuff.

Some guidance please (discs / clutch&flywheel / bodykits)

Where about in north west do you need the paint doing? -
From what I'm told by our mechanic if something goes wrong with a BM it's usually computer related. Possible but not easy to do yourself. Also 5mpg drop might be ambitious. The mechanic as an older M3 (2001) I think and it's returning 17mpg on a potter. Can't see how a V10 will fare any better but I guess more modern engine all seem to be better on the gas no matter how big they are.

Point in case This is what happens when you spray proper paint over a chipsaway job. Huge reactions in the paint

I've driven a zed with HFC's, plenum and remap......you could feel the difference.

Any time bud just drop me a line.

Unless you by from rEvolve of course Sadly not! I've had 2 warranty claims on the 8 I've sold. Both of them straight back in and fixed. Used cars breaking is just a fact of life.....it's how you deal with it that counts. You can send a car out as honest as you like and within 5 miles it could break down. You could buy any one of the most uberpampered zeds from on here and they could have a problem within 10 minutes. Bradders, CalZed etc al can attest to that.......no probs on the test drives....shagged within a week. I've come to realize with cars you just do your best and never assume that nothing can go wrong. As for the zed The axles can click The bushes can creak The links can knock The W brace rots More than one engine has thrown a piston this year alone. Idling problems Burning oil problems Noisy Fuel damper Camshaft position sensors knackered Window motors break And I bet you'll find the exact same list for nearly any car on the market. Most of the stuff above has nothing to do with the legendary 'bullet proof engine' (although that bullet proofness is getting more and more suspect if you ask me). Its just serviceable parts that wear and tear. I agree Paul, sorry shameless promotion (which it was meant to be - and not negative as it may have seemed) on my behalf and good on you for responding in full. I do have a possible mission for you, probably best via PM though, which I'll drop you soon. It might involve a favour and also never mentioning a facemask. Oh mate I know you weren't having a pop! I've just had this epiphany about cars recently and so many people ask 'is the zed reliable'. That's such an easy question to answer now - no they are not. But neither is anything else. It's almost better to judge a car on how cheap it is to fix rather than how reliable it is in the first place.
