What type of code reader are you using? If it's a cheapy you might be better getting a more advanced scanner on the job.

I've got Mint, Lemon and Bubblegum! It's only a little starter jobbie but it looks pretty (anodised Blue) and deffo tastes better than a real one! Definitely the same sort of noise a failed ARB droplink would make. That said I had a similar noise under similar circumstances, changed the links and it did bugger all.

I know Envy use Opticoat and Liquid Elements ceramics. From what I've heard it's pretty hard core stuff. Adds a few permanent microns to the paint (essentially becoming a second hard as nails clearcoat)
