  1. I'm sure Docwa will have been in one at some point. He is ratherer learned of all things 'power'.
  2. It was meeeeeeee it was meeeeeee!!!, Glad you're happy with it mate. Just got to get it back to you without some cretin courier ruining it now. If it's more than 40 quid to send it back I might just drive it down to you to be honest.
  3. Dare to be different mate. Carbon is also an unholy slut to work with and keep straight. Me likey
  4. Not an M6, 1M, M635CSi, CSL, 850i then? Incredible work finding a manual, now get the exhaust cut off at the manifold and make proper V8 noises. Sorry I'll rephrase ......the much maligned 6 series is my only acceptable BMW. I just can't get excited by any of the others. It's not about driving them, how they look, how reliable they are, what they do......it's just something genetic that makes me go 'meh'
  5. Personally......my favourite BMW mate and the only one that would not have made me call you a twerp for buying BMW.
  6. Are you jumping it from a powerful enough battery (remember you're trying to turn a 3.5 litre lump into life). Is it trying to fire or dead as a nail? Any clicking noises?
  7. Sadly a toolbox that size will be what........about a grand? I'd like a Ferrari but my Astra has to do!
  8. This is the smaller one (although it's still pretty mahusive.....deffo bigger than the halfords one) http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/cos_8,cos_8.5,cos_8.5.8/674527
  9. Costco have 2 awesome cabs in at the moment. One is around the price you're looking at and the other is fecking enormous and £450.
  10. Just ask yourself if anything bad happens how you would feel. That's something you'd live with for the rest of your life. Besides which it's New York.......got to be better than a few days in Slough!
  11. They look quite a pro outfit. Not sure what's gone wrong here really.
  12. Unlikely I'd say. It should only really come into effect when the engine is cold until exhaust temps ramp up.
  13. What so you can avoid them hope its not Hydrographix ..can u let us no? mike k-g It's the guys I posted above mate
  14. It's the heater element of the O2 sensor (brings the sensor up to temp quicker when cold). Bank 1 I think is driver side (whichever side cylinder 1 is on) and sensor 2 is the furthest away from the engine (the post cat sensor in this instance). Swap out the sensor for a new one.
  15. I'm guessing these guys. East coast Hydrographics http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?/topic/92977-New-Dipped-Interior-Parts-Today-Early-Xmas!!!! New Dipped Interior Parts Today Early Xmas!!!!
  16. As a 'trader' I hate to make a rod for my own back with comments like this but that is a bit of a Heath Robinson effort. Carbon is an unholy bastard to work with but personally I couldn't send that out if it was my work. You're happy though and that's all that matters.
  17. APM Customs round the corner from us are awesome wrappers. As you know I do a bit but a car is a bit beyond me at the moment. They are essentially our competition with a few things but you've got to doth the cap to the better man some times and these guys are very very good.
  18. Take a look at aquagraphix website to see what films can be used for hydrodipping. We use them as our film supplier. Unless you've got a dipper local it will be pretty costly to get them shipped both ways though.
  19. If it burning oil then its down to bad ring/bore seal, as i said before it would be worth running a compression test to see if that's the case. Or with a bit of luck **** thin oil. Magnatec maybe? I have read several posts where people say this about Magmatec...yet it WILL be the correct hot viscosity, so why it should behave any different to any other oil of the same viscosity seems ludicrous! If an engine is burning oil then its likely to be ring seal or guides, and although running a thicker oil than std might help reduce this, there is no reason for one particular type to promote the effect, I wonder if this is just a bit of forum hype because one of two people have had coincidental problems? is there a long list of fully documented testing that gives conclusive proof? It is an odd one but there have been quite a few people who've solved burning oil/smoking issues by changing brand. Could just be a coincidence that's become gospel I guess
  20. If it burning oil then its down to bad ring/bore seal, as i said before it would be worth running a compression test to see if that's the case. Or with a bit of luck **** thin oil. Magnatec maybe?
  21. Honestly I have no idea what that first post really means? Is bank 1 cam sensor the code that the reader is throwing Why are you fiddling with cam sensor 2? When did the crank sensor come into the party? What ever the code is throwing either change it or reset and wait for the light to come back on then check again
  22. It slipped off the edge of a concrete diveway into a large pothole which had been bitmac surfaced ... this sliced the inside wall of the tyre Christ. As with the others mate. I doubt you'd get anywhere without a ruckload of evidence.
  23. Lol! I think mooning also means 'to gaze in a vacant manner'!
  24. Mate this is uncanny! I was literally sat mooning at a petrol station today contemplating that exact thing.
