  1. Doesn't that letter confirm that it specifically a total loss claim bud? Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk
  2. Ricey

    Too much?

Personally I think that's one of the nicest I've seen on a zed
  3. How the hell did you wrap the strut brace? With a join line underneath?
  4. Bah too far away. I need bits of trim like this for hydrodipping testing.
  5. B = minus 5k from whatever you were expecting salary wise!
  6. Heat is specifically what allows vinyl to be removed and to reshape. Heat of the engine bay would trash it mate. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk
  7. Black smoke is usually unburned fuel
  8. Do you mean it hesitates? Could be a load of different things pal. You need to get to a mechanic with a decent diagnostic. Your friend might be talking about the MAF sensor but it could just as easily be a duff plug or coil pack
  9. Need to ask Pete a couple of questions about getting into leather reconnolising but his Faceplant hasn't had an update since Nov and he hasn't logged into here since Nov either. Assume he's ok and I haven't missed anything?
  10. I think djtimo had one in the for sale section
  11. Just 2 totally different things mate. The 50 quid jobs are as said above basically a resistor that does lash all.
  12. .....to clarify my assessment I think the OP is referring to those crappy 'tuning chips' rather than top end stand alone ecus
  13. 100% a sack of junk pal. At best it'll do no damage.
  14. Nope You'll get heat soak and lose a few ponies actually. The noise more than makes up for it though
  15. Never eat yellow snow? What sort of advice are you after squire?
  16. Top man Lays a good drive too
  17. You don't need to register with LA down he bud. Electrical certificates not mandatory either. Gas is though. Anything over a 3 year tenancy has to be drawn up by deed I think and mortgage lenders usually stipulate it has to be a 6-12 month ast
  18. Thanks bud The Gearbox Centre in Buckley. Heard they're very good. Do they do single flywheel kits for the Zed? Unfortunately the car has reamed me financially this month, so I'm just going to have to let the dealer sort this one, otherwise I'd definitely have a new clutch at the least. I think the last time I had a DMF done ran me for £550. Wish I'd done it myself, it's not that difficult, just time consuming and awkward if you haven't got ramps or a pit. Lol my mates car has just come out of there having at a recon box fitted due to something letting go and punching a hole in the gearbox. He's just had about a grand of work done by us as well.....poor lad. DMF and clutch will run you anywhere from £750 to over a grand depending on where you go. They do a solid for the zed I do believe
  19. Jesus Christ......the one place more dangerous than the front row of the Smiler and you found it!
  20. Hi bud, We're in Chester too (well sandycroft but I come from Chester). Feel free to pop in for a coffee sometime Which gearbox specialist has it gone into? If I was you I'd have the DMF and clutch checked whilst your there as if they're worn but not goosed (let's say they've got another 10k in them even) it could be a good time to shell out yourself on a new one because the box is getting dropped anyway and it's a swine of an expensive job to do......you might only end up paying for the parts rather than the labour.
  21. This is what im saying. Get the bcm tested on a diagnostic so you can rule it out and look at the ipdm again. A brand new ipdm shouldn't just blow unless something ia drastically wrong. Get the battery and alternator checked to ensure correct voltage and charging tol.
  22. Not 100% some definitely do. Not sure if the zed's is plug and play. If it was a brand new IPDM then is be inclined to be looking at the BCM and having a diagnostic carried out to check its functionality.
  23. Can't say I hold out total hope for resolution but it does appear to be a step in the right direction as J17 tactic previously has been total stonewall so perhaps the endless bad reviews are finally hitting home.
