  3. When you weigh it up mate 2 decent low entry trolley jacks from Costco would cost you about £200 odd. Far easier to store and use.

  5. Cheapest portable I've seen in one of the trade catalogues was about 2k. Don't think I'd be too happy scuttling around under one.
  6. If you've got access to a wetvac you'll do an even better job It's not getting all of your cleaning product out that causes it to green up again more quickly. Clean Agitate Jet wash Wetvac Repeat if necessary but finish on a wetvac

  8. I've never had much success in cleaning a MAF to be honest. Electrical contact cleaner (or what you've bought) and make sure it's dried out before refitting. I wouldn't touch the element with anything myself although I think some have very gently cleaned it with a cotton bud. Refit and off you go. Again I think (someone might clarify this) if you unplug the MAF the engine will go into a default map. If this solves your problem then it's probably the MAF karked it. If not then come back for more advice as it could be a few things.
  9. I had a think about it once and aside from being a weedy lump of blubber I realised much the same. It must be so frustrating for established PT's to fight it out with inexperienced newbies who charge less. Much the same as detailing and valeting to be honest.......hard work convincing people why spending 10 and 20 times more than a roadside hand car wash is better!

  11. It'll help but my experience is that you'll need some sort of air flow to clear it. Hydrophobic and super hydrophobic theoretically shouldn't allow water to 'sit' on a treated surfaced. I guess with the wing mirrors being vertical the water 'should' run off under its own weight. That said dew is tiny so might not be heavy enough to run off

  13. I did it up north 2 years ago. The missus did it this year. Aside from being scandalously priced its great fun but toughest event on the planet it isn't. If felt a bit diluted to me this year......obstacles looked a bit repetitive. Walk the plank had gone, no electric eel, mud mile was pretty much a short pool instead of 8 pits, no log carry, bail bonds was basically a couple of lumps of hay. I think Tough Mudder are starting to make the event more accessible for the average Joe. For example the missus put basically zero training in and nailed it.

  15. Ah scratch that......just read first post properly. No mate unfortunately rubberised paint isn't the most hardy on high traffic areas. We've done whole cars with the proper plastidip and it is pretty durable but I've spayed handles with a plastidip rattle can and its only lasted a few months. Plastidip primer will give better adhesion so I'm told but I've never use it
  16. Rubberised coating I would guess. Utter swine to remove but it's doable. In terms of resistance.....if you do it properly then it should be as hard wearing as the exterior paint work.
  17. Aside from outstanding finance I think you're going a bit CSI on the other bits. Sounds like it largely stacks up but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole thought that HPI marker being cleared.

  19. Depends what merchant agreement he's got too as Alex said. For example I use PayPal Here because my transactions are relatively low but for example I took £212 the other day and received £204.....that's a hefty whack when you're getting into the thousands.
  20. As above Look out for any rolling bits and bobs under the seat too. Usually a bottle of water is the culprit. Disconnect the airbag plug under passenger seat. Give it a fiddle and plug it back together.

As fodder will attest to we've seen more than enough bad lorry driving around the Chester area to last us a lifetime......last one on friday resulting in an ATS van being split open like a can of beans front to back and the driver killed by a careless lorry driver.
