  1. The 4.2 isn't as loud as the Granturismo s. The S has the baffle doo dahs in the exhaust. I had a GT and GTS in one day after another and the GTS from a sound perspective is like all the angels in heaven sacked off their wings and strapped on a rocket pack instead. If you can't afford a 4.7 don't test drive it. You'll only be disappointed with the 4.2 after and the 4.2 is a quality car. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. As I recall you can get an RSW kit which is literally the centre console and a few other bits for about 600 knicker. That's real carbon fibre. Beyond that you're dipping or wrapping.
  3. Just spoke to Richard mate and I asked him about warranty. On that GT as standard he would put a 6 month warranty with a 2k individual claim limit with wear and tear included. You can upgrade it to 15 months for an extra 600 or 24 months for a grand. He said the warranty company are very good at paying out. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. In which case personally I think your way is easier than spraying. Spraying 2k clear isn't novice standard, requires a lot of equipment and also has a lot of opportunity for issues. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. 2k clear is UV resistant Good idea zippy not sure about ease of application though.
  6. Bloody southerners and your laaaandon wages. We still only earn thrippence up here! I did a service for a cabbage and an elderly goat yesterday. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. If nissan techs are on 16 quid an hour I'm shutting up shop and getting a job slinging oil at Lookers! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. Yup that's just about put the nail in thst coffin. I'm assuming when you say 10 years you mean you've owned a zed for 10 years so this is a DE engine we're talking about? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah I did see that, very good price. Is that the guy you do the detailing for? I've heard nothing but praise for him on the Maserati forum. I'm not sure I could live with that RED interior though, its very bright! It looks cool from outside the car, the red/black but not sure it wouldn't be too much when sitting in there. To be fair, I haven't seen the red in the flesh though. He also has a 4.7GTS that I like the look of for just under 45k. I really need to speak to him, as everybody says hes a very helpful guy whether your purchasing from him or not. One of the best looking cars around for the same price as a 320d....When your driving you cannot see the colour of the seats anyways Same money as a soot chucker golf albeit a nearly new one. I'll be deadly honest I detailed that GT and every last person who saw the interior said it was hideous. Looked OK to me but then I did have a black TT with red leather
  10. Squee did you do that whole car yourself? ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. Whip it off and plastidip it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. He is without doubt mate the straightest car salesman I've ever come across. The money he throws at them to make sure they're right is mad. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  14. Richard Grace Maserati has got a Granturismo for sale for I think 32k mate......Stunning thing Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  16. You should declare all of them otherwise it's fraud. That said credit reference will provide 'linked' addresses to anywhere you've had credit, applied for credit, been registered on voters roll etc If you don't declare it they technically might decline it due to non disclosure and you can loaded on CIFAS for submitting fraudulent applications. That's all a view 'by the book'. (I used to underwrite for a mortgage company) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Lol I'd literally just realised that driving down the road just then. I meant pre heating as in wafting the vinyl before you use it Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  18. Will be honest mate I've only looked at this thread for the first time today and pretty much had a look at page one and seventeen (just shaving a quick brew!) .......what a really stunning car. Some very hard work and care has gone into that
  19. Dude when you post heat is it done with the backing on or off? Everytimeive tried to post heat I've done it backing off and I get in a right old tangle
  20. Doesn't look like real cf I can tell you that! Be different and have a steampunk dip instead  Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  21. Just a decent leather cleaner then mate Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  22. Yes mate. It's leather. If it's worn you can have it reconnolized. Other than that as Stu said anything like Dr Leather, zymol, glyptone will be good to keep it cleaned Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  23. My point exactly. Traders no matter how crap don't go out looking for bad cars to sell. Provided you assume zero after sales service or protection (which in fact Dan has pointed out you have a legal right to) you'll be going in with your eyes open. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  24. Doesn't Tarmac do them? Dipping is always an option
  25. Useless by all accounts but doesn't mean the car is a shedder. If you can somehow get it independently inspected then I don't see a problem in buying provided you assume it's basically got all the protection of a private sale
