This is a fairly extreme example but this was on a 75k Stradale with a VERY expensive cover on it. The horrific scratching was caused buy a small piece of grit (say 1mm) getting under the cover. The general swirling was caused just by movement from the wind. This was after 3 weeks under a cover Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

As a detailer i'll tell you now.......you're better leaving it uncovered. I don't care how good your cover is....It'll move. Movement equals chafing. I spend a lot of time machining out marks left by £500 bloody ermin fur lined velvet covers sewn together with the strings from an angels harp and sealed with the tears of an otters dreams.......same story every time. I guess it depends on what type of product you are using. The stuff I use is industry grade but it ain't cheap and it supplied by Buffalo Leather who are the daddy with this sort of thing. I wait as long as it takes me to swig down my brew! If the hairdryer has a 'cold shot' button on it that'll help to cool down the leather after you apply a layer and dry it off but it's not strictly essential. Leave it 10 mins for the heat to dissipate. The pigments I use are water based.......Perhaps the tinterwebs peeps are using solvent based and its 'gassing off'

Wipe down as I don't have anything to airbrush it on with, unless I take a mouthful of the colorant and... Yeah they supplied a sealant too. Any advice on applying the colourant and sealant? It's a tough one mate as for me your need to airbrush it on and/or rattle can the sealant. That said your working with what you've got so I'd advise to go thin with your coats and build it up. Resist the temptation to daub it on. Dry off with a hairdryer to speed up your drying time. Once you have sufficient colour coverage don't be tempted to slat on even more just to be sure.......the thicker your coat the more chance there is of future failure/cracking A bit like with detailing.......less is often more. Or more accurately the minimum required to do the job right.

How are you applying the new pigment......wipe on or airbrush? Have they sent any sealant in the kit?

911's vary slightly across the models too, 991 ranges from 3.4 up to 4.0 for the RS As do the Fairlady Z's. 3.5l for the standard, 3.8l for the RS 3.8RS was a one off limited run. Doesn't count. Okay so I may be wrong with some multi engine cars but none of those have diesel versions. All full on throaty petrol versions. Diesel Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Lol. Actually I might add that I think it's a jointly developed diesel with......der ner ner ner!!!! Ferarri!!!! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Does the do correction too with a machine polisher? I've been to Simons a few times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I did think this myself. Don't get me wrong I'd never criticise a company I don't know the first thing about but body shops tend to be of the Edd China school of 'mopping' with a 12kg rotary and a bucket of G3 rather than true detailing. There again we do bodywork and I'm a detailer. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

If your close to me I can have a look at reconnolising rather than reupholstering......you'd be surprised what can be repaired (check our our subforum for some examples of what can be done) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

50/50 Except she didn't bother to stop or report it to he police? I think she'd struggle with that one. Clearly not portraying herself as an aggrieved party Do it quick whilst she's still got damage on her car. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Not done one myself but zippypoos is a wrapper and another lad did his whole car by himself. Quality of vinyl is pretty key and I believe once you have wrapped a panel you need to post heat it to ensure it retains its shape. If your having to use spray adhesive something is definitely wrong. Not exactly sure what you mean here bud but you do realise that a new quarter panel will mean that the old one has to be cut out, new one welded in, painted and blended to all adjacent panels? That will be running you into four figures at a decent body shop. A repair on that panel shouldn't be more than a few hundred.

Agree with this I think madmarky had them on his car and they did work to be fair Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Pot, kettle, black. Generally speaking, there are some things that just look utterly gash. If you still like it then that's cool, but that doesn't make it stylish or cool. It just means you have bad taste. Moans about haters......is a hater. I think on a show car they work quite well to be honest. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Most of it but I think that's actually over the swage line which usually means it's very difficult to totally removr Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

They are good but I find that I'm either getting more addicted or the vape itself is degrading. I've got an aspire nautilus mini with 6mg fluid and honestly it's gone from blowing my mind as to how good it was to being pretty bobbins. I broke the first one so I'm also on a full new kit from about 3 months ago so I wouldn't really expect it to knacker that quick. Thinking about getting a sub setup but not sure. Bit worried I'm just going to get more and more addicted. I'm producing more steam that Thomas the tank and I only used to smoke about 4 rollies a day! Lol Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
