They look awesome...............now wash your car immediately!

Much as the Lancer is the 'utility vehicle' I can't help but feel its weeping to be lowered and a nice stainless zorst.........not entirely sure how that would sound on an oil burner but that standard zorst looks grim. Unfortunately aftermarket bits are practically zero...........more money for the Zed I guess

Decided to kip in the car instead mate?

Meh couple of faffy twigs mate.....whenever the bin men leave the wheelie bin in the middle of my drive (surely knowing that it will require me to leave the car in the middle of the road while I move it) I just plow into it and smash it into the middle of the garden in anger. ........my paintworks still holding up pretty well (although I tend not to do it in Carla's Zed!)

Didn't manage to get a piccie but the tyre on my Lancer has been going down over about a 2 week period of late. Assumed it was a slow puncture and thought while I was having it tracked I'd get it fixed. The tyre dude called my over and said there was no puncture but the wheel had developed a fungus which causes the tyre to lose the seal on the wheel......he showed me the wheel and the whole of the rear rim was covered in brown discoloration! Apparently its quite common on Mercs.......the tyre can pull off the rim a little allowing moisture to seep into the wheel and fungus then grows.

Since getting the Zed the poor old Lancer has been neglected for so long so it was treated to being tracked this morning then a full shebang clean this afternoon. Bagged up some Poorboys Blackhole Glaze on Marts recommendation. Washed, machine polished with Megs Ultimate, hand polished with Poorboys Blackhole Glaze (as I've somehow managed to lose the 2nd pad for the G220 that I bought off Tim ) and finished off with Dodo Juice Orange Crush Wax. Much as its been said before I'm going to say it again and you MUST listen. If you do not own the Poorboys Blackhole Glaze go out and buy it, buy it now! Its the best product I've ever used on a car. Before After -the reflections in the paintwork pretty much say it all - bodywork is like a mirror now. Knackered now!

In the modern world my motto is - if it involves a call center abandon all hope!......in fact if you start making monkey noises down the phone you may find you get more of a response.

You may find that the battery is fubar if its a few years old mate. See how the trickle gets on but if it doesn't work I'd give up on it and bag up a new one.

Mate the best advice I can add is to stay in the lion inn in gwytherin if you can stretch to it (not expensive but over travel lodge prices).......it looks like a knackered old pub but you can't help but fall in love with the place.....inside is awesome. It's situated just outside of snowdonia and everywhere is within reach.....its got this mental little road leading out of the village and at the top there is a view that will make your testicals explode.

Wait until you hear the bog flush then run to their flat hammering on the door screaming 'can't you keep the noise down! I can hear you turding in a most undignified manner' ......that should spice things up. Alternatively use a sensible suggestion from above.

Yeah I want to know who's who!

Megs G220 is the only one I have experience of using but its ace! And its quite widely accepted that I'm a disaster zone so if anyone was going to sear a hole in the paintwork.........its me.

Ok couple of updates (for those that haven' died of boredom - i.e everyone apart from biscuit!) Insurance are taking the car back for a bumper respray again and also they've bit the bullet and ordered a new Scorpion from Demon Tweeks. After a few well placed emails advising the landowner that they were going to court I got this from the clamping company From: Direct Car Park Solutions [mailto] Sent: 16 February 2011 15:17 To: Rice, Paul Subject: 28th January Vehile Imobilisation. Dear paul, i'm sorry to hear you were caught out on one of our clients car parks and i do sympathise with you. However, the sign is in a well lit area and is a contractual agreement, which our clients are very happy with. You had no permission and no permit to park their, therefore you were parked illegally as their is no public right of way or thoroughfare on the fore mentioned land (Trespassers Act, 1977). Feel free to take action as we have three photographs of your vehicle illegally parked with the sign in the background, clearly on display and you were immobilised by an SIA license holder in accordance with current law and legislation. once again i emphpise with your current frustration, but you must understand you were not in compliance to rules of the land owner, were trespassing and we have a duty to our client to protect their intrests. I uinderstand your situation but sorry their will be no refund. Kind regards Mr J. Dawson Appeals manager DCS. To which they got back Mr Dawson, Firstly thank you for taking the time to respond to my queries. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the photographic evidence of the vehicle with a clear sign anywhere in the background as the only signage present to my knowledge is in an unlit area approximately 13 ft in the air in a font that is clearly illegible from that distance. Other sites where signs had previously been sited had adhesive on the wall at head height had been torn down as confirmed by the DSC operative and evidenced by further photographic evidence in my possession. I am assuming that you have responded to me as a result of Giles Insurance forwarding my emails on to yourselves as my recorded delivery letter was not collected from your 'business premises'. Therefore attached is a copy of the full details and photographic evidence of the inadequate signage (noting that as per your photographic evidence - my car is situated approx 20-30 ft from this sign against the opposite wall). If you can provide me with a photograph of any adequate signage in the area where I was parked I will respectfully withdraw any appeal regardless of my other points regarding your company. Should you not be able to provide this I feel I have sufficient evidence to be successful in court and will continue to pursue this course of action (citing the case law in point - Vine vs Waltham Forest - which is a clear indication that I could not enter into any contractual agreement with Giles Insurance or DSC due to being unable to read the sign). Again I thank you for your time in considering this matter and look forward to provision of this information by the 21st of February as per my original deadline. Many thanks Paul Rice ............totally the wrong person to call a bluff on I'm afraid chaps
