Dunno about suspension but local (and trusted) tyre garage said that the large square speed bump almost instantly wreck your tracking because they prise the wheels outwards if you go over them square on. Can't imagine that does the suspension any good either.

How strange! You weren't using the pad bare with no compound were you! The megs G220 has a little dial thingy on the back for speed and I think recommends 4-5 for swirl removal and 1-3 for buffing. You sometimes need to do a few passes on the same area. There are a few decent vids on youtube by Megiuars to show you how its done but I can't see how its ended up worse unless the paint work wasn't prepped properly. Did you clay beforehand?
