  1. Honestly im not even joking I tell people I've got a guy who we use as a technical advisor who tests detailing products.......That would be you Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. Fair do's like. If I had another pair of hands (or was prepared to work stupid hours) I could probably knock that out in a day so overnight should be sufficient. Also if I had the money and infrastructure I'd probably have a valeting team and be the 'detailing' service for bespoke work. Give them a crack pal Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Tell you what I've just had a look at their Facebook page......they have some serious metal going through there. Looks a big company too so could just be a case of they have the space and manpower to turf put quick, cheap, quality work. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. The car being washed with a sponge on the homepage tells me all I need to know Joking aside i'll never critisise anyone's work if I haven't seen it first hand but they strike me as a 'valeting' company. I'd be having a nosey at what polishers and compounds they use. Also if they use a PTG and if they have any lighting rigs to work under. Don't forget mate sounding like you know what you're doing and knowing what youre doing are 2 different things. Also if they can turn a single stage correct and ceramic coat application out in less than 24 hours including curing then they must be using a sacrificial layer of something else otherwise it'll be in danger of not curing properly. 5. ^ nice plug mate I'll be honest it'd be more mither than its worth to try and fill them. Shirley you can pick up blanks for peanuts Or better still leave the ones with switches on and pretend you've got a GT! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. On a side note I want an Alfa SZ so bad Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. Trying to work out if I can do anything with it but I'm not sure. I don't want to buy any more zed parts that I turn into a monstrosity. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. EBay. Zmanalex. If you put a shout on here someone might have some lurking around Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. My insurance is nearly 4 grand alone! For a ceramic coat that is absolutely exactly what I charge £400-600 (Zed sort of size being £400) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  10. Autosmart Biobrisk and an air con bomb should do it Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. Then you have labour on top of that. Have a look through my build thread ( link in signature) Happened to me without realising there was a problem. I read about it on here. All sorted now though, thanks to cougar store 700 quid labour! We swapped a zed engine over for 50 quid more!
  12. Just awaiting delivery of 5 litres as we speak. Liking the Hydrocoat too bud
  13. Can't say I've used it but I've never heard any criticism of HD to be fair. Also never seen a detailer use it but for regular waxing I should imagine it's decent
  14. I'll be honest I'd slather my car in butter before I use Autoglum products. Not that they are as bad as all that but the principle of paying their exorbitant prices annoys me for such average fayre. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  15. Exactly the same as any other alloy would. It's lacquered over with 2k clearcoat (or at least the ones we do are). Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Chilli red Sorry I've missed a few posts here. If you are going to clay be very careful as even careful claying can leave marring in the paint. A polish will take it out but it'd be far far better doing it by machine. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. i know... was thinking with my heart not my head and now im in this hole.;( And your in it now so hindsight is sadly nothing more than a wonderful thing. Dude you're going to need to invest a little bit of money (which you'll probably lose) to get this sorted. Get a solicitor to give you some advice and to write you a letter. Obvs you can do this yourself but I'm thinking your concerned by their 'legal team' (seriously how bad is your garage to have a legal team!!) so show them you mean business and clout them with the same thing. Dan will probs disagree as he knows pretty much for certain what you are and aren't entitled to and how cheaply you can realistically do it. For me id want some reassurance from a legal bod. This is 10 grand we're talking about at the end of the day. It's not buttons. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  18. Chilli red If your most concerned with utter bling for a few days rather than long term protection id say Poorboys black hole glaze and R222 Concours wax. It'll look like a right slippery weasel but the R222 doesn't give long term protection. Some synthetics can dull off the gloss that a wax will give. As Ilogikal said just be aware of the fact that social media marketing tends to show the best rather than the reality. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  19. trouble is iv offered this they basically say they dont have to just take it back with out inspecting it. i am half inclined to just drop the lump out remove the rods and pistons and give to abbey to professionally say they are dead, then get them to rebuild it. i can do it my self but really dont see why i should it wasnt a £1000 car other wise id just sort it my self. This is what we're saying if it gets back to them then they've either got to fix it or give you the money back. Until it gets back to them your fooked and from the sounds of it they're not making any great efforts to get it back. Your call bud but I wouldn't be getting abbey to do anything unless you're going to wipe your mouth of it and just pay to get it sorted. Trying to claim rebuild money from them will be impossible Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk I just had an email from them to say the truck should be repaired on Wednesday and will contact about the collection when it is, they will need the car for a week to do tests. Iv on purposely left the tank empty... just the way they gave it to me. also I am getting multiple engine miss fires (p300) coming up occasional. this happened literly as i bought the car and went to drive away they said it was because of the low fuel level and running the crap from the bottom of the tank and to put some fuel in and injector cleaner so i did and it did clear up but has come back Mate do everything you can to have that car rejected. The chances of S2k4u and Tonto doing a pucker repair are zilch if it needs a rebuild and from the sounds of it you've got a very sickly engine Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  21. 250 quid for a low loader to dump it will be worth the wasted life you'll have trying to be reasonable with them......actually returning the car at your own cost really speaking is being more reasonable! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  22. From what I remember they sell more nails than Screwfix. They had a reputation for being complete broncos on here for years but not heard a squeak from them for a while. Similar to Junction 17.......you'll hear of people buying decent cars from them but it seems to be by fluke rather than design. Honestly I reckon you need to listen to Ekona (he's a right complaining git so he knows what he's on about )because you could be in for a hard slog of it. Nightmare Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  23. BCX Basicaly Trading standards said that because im rejecting it and not local, i could do more damage and then it would be reasonable for me to correct the damage, so they should collect it. I offered to uship it to them for £100 and they just kept saying they will collect it. 1st choice cars in oxford direction.... google em and s2ki and sean and you will find out who im dealing with,, it dont look great. As in s20004u? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk you got it Oh @*!#! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
