  1. It is indeed young squee....although technically you spotted Carla! My old car is 5 up on the right from the zed
  2. One slight word of caution I guess Ruddles and this isn't really meant to mega put you off but just food for thought. Everyone in a recession thinks they can just retrain for a trade and next minute a weak market place is flooded with newbies. I work for a finance company and I deal with lots and lots of self emp trades people - many are now out of work, working twice as hard to earn the same money or are constantly being pi**ed about by people they work for. Its a tough old world at the moment and many of these markets are totally saturated (the best example is people come out of work and because they can drive all of a sudden everyone is a taxi driver!) As said above it doesn't always appear easy to get work experiance because your basically viewed as a competitor in an already ferocious industry. Good luck though - at least you've nothing to lose, no mortgage, kiddies etc........if there was ever a time to take a punt its now.
  3. A diesel will run with as much as a third of a tank being petrol. People used to mix some petrol into diesel in winter to stop it turning into treacle. I think thats a bit of a tactic of a previous era mate - with all the electronic gizmos in cars these days I think you can do a good old amount of damage with almost any amount........certainly throws the ECU all over the place. Incidentially mine was a dry tank filled with diesel, in a car I had just paid 15k for.........and I tried to drive it Luckily it was a pumpe duse unit.....r.eckon if it was commonrail it would have written the engine off.
  4. Drive a Z4 and then stop your whining!
  5. Just pray you never need to claim through them or ask them to do anything other than renew your policy (which will be huge amount dearer than they would offer to a new customer). Useless does not even come into it. Plus if you ever do have the misfortune to have an accident for the love of christ do NOT let them put you on to Albany Assistance - parastic remtards.
  6. They have done that, a diesel nozzle is larger than a petrol one and doesn't normally fit in a petrol car. Yes but the b*****d petrol can fit in a diesel........which I found out much to my horror.
  7. Personally thought they could have made it a bit funnier - I had to read it twice to realise it was a pisstake!
  8. I remember going to Demon Tweeks when I was 17 and asking for a big bore exhaust for a Vauxhall Chevette. The bloke nearly pi**ed himself.
  9. This isn't limited to Zeds! Dig out the 1989 Nova mods!
  10. Come on, own up.......I was reminicing about my Seat Ibiza (first car I ever chav'verized) the my amazing home made modifications. Was it the bright Saxo blue plastic lip on the bumper? No Was it the centre part of the steering wheel sprayed silver with the Seat sign painted with blue caliper paint? No Was it the hideous bright blue seat covers? No It was the christmas when I got a blue sweet wrapper from the Quality Street, peeled the foil off the back, took the interior courtesy light bulb out and carefully taped the wrapper around it, secured with a slither of electrical tape. Glowing blue baby! Lasted a month until it burnt to a crisp.
  11. I don't think it matters what age you are its how you've cut your cloth. I couldn't change careers now as I live a life that requires me to earn a certain salary - I'd have to take a 50% pay cut to do anything else which would mean losing houses, cars and all that other capitalist sh*te that we're told we need to have Deep joy
  12. +1 To answer the general topic question - No basically its sh**e
  13. Again don't take this the wrong way mate but I don't think there is any liklihood of you taking a pay cut - you must be brushing the minimum wage banding now. I always err on the side of caution when people ask this question.........this time I am absolutley saying go for it - what the hell is even keeping you from going 'Falling Down' now is beyond me.
  14. Absolutely shameless..... Top Man Next he'll be saying 'in stock and good to go'
  15. Only if you balance it out with a lip spoiler though......otherwise it can make the nose lift and lose traction on the rubber at the front.
  16. We've got one but I'm really sexy so not sure if its because of that or because it helps the handeling.
  17. Sounds like the biggest risk at the moment is being hit by a stray shopping trolly or VTR Saxo coming the other way having just exited the Maccies drivethrough Reminds me of another street drifting saying amongst drifters ....... its like w@anking, we all do it but you dont invite 50 chavs to come and film you when you are at it class!
  18. Nice to hear I wouldnt like to be in you shoes when filling out an insurance quote with these stats. If i could give any advice to anyone who cares to listen, observation, awareness of your surrounding and antisipation is key to safe driving. Treat every other road user as an idiot who WILL do the unexpected. £570 with all the mods To be fair only about half were my fault and most of them were at sub 10mph..........stupid gits braking at clear roundabouts.
  19. Yes it does........and as I'm on my 10th insurance claim in 12 years (fault and not) I'm actually the best driver in the world now.............FACT
  20. Sounds like the biggest risk at the moment is being hit by a stray shopping trolly or VTR Saxo coming the other way having just exited the Maccies drivethrough

  23. Drifting on public roads is a lot different to drifting on a track. Not sure anyone on here really does it. You could try www.skankinmawhiprounddastreetsblatblatblat.com for some tips?
