  1. yes mate it's got 2 of the wet vac duberries one of which is for the car I think. What do you use Tim?
  2. Bought one....,I will report back with findings. Should be good for upholstery I reckon
  3. That's what I did and it was fine after that. Watch out for anything in the footwell shooting under the seat and knocking it.....bottles are a bugger for that
  4. Already have one V8.....dont need another
  5. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BARGAIN-NUMAT ... 1825wt_689 I think I'm going to get a vacuum that can wet vac to clean upholstery?
  6. Brown Porker FTW!!!!!!
  7. Look positive - perfect excuse for a refurb and a change of colour. Forget pursuing her.....waste of time and energy. If you have her name then hunt her down and go knocking for a chat with him indoors.
  8. Mate if you are happy with it then thats all that counts. Its not like you bought an M3
  9. To be fair Vik its only 25 squid more to put on retention rather than straight transfer so you might as well leave it off the astra.........otherwise you'll be paying another 85 quid when you get a new car.
  10. I think you have to pay an annual fee to renew as well! No where near as much as the initial fee. Plus it's 30 quid for every set of plates!
  11. Yip but you won't pass an mot with a de cat
  12. I know but it's nigh on impossible to do that as you need the v5 to sell or part ex your old car......basically unless you own both (or dealer is happy to wait for v5) then you have to put on retention
  13. 105 squid to put on retention.......6 cars in 6 years doesn't help!
  14. Im missing a white one and a full set of plates actually! Ramraid somewhere!
  15. 250 quid to buy Nearly 600 quid in transfer fees!
  16. Agreed..........cars are plummeting faster than ever in value - you always think that it won't be that bad but its utter rapage every time. They're not my kettle and all I can say is I hope its more comfortable than my Z4 was (my mate had a 1 series hatch and it crippled him). If I was you I'd sling the runflats immediately........I cannot express how much they ruin the car.[gmaps][/gmaps]
  17. I think what he means is the 'bottom end' or 'dreg end' as I put it not because of age but because of price. The cheapest are cheapest usually for a reason - undesireable (clearly not), unrealiable (potentially), seller needs cash (potentially), niche (modded). I'd take a well looked after 2003 over a thrashed 2006 any day of the week but you may find a 2006 cheap and thing WOW! Thats buying a 2006 at the 'dreg end' of the market because its cheapest and therefore more likely to have something wrong with it. That said you could buy one with full service history thats spent its life being stroked with a diaper for good money.......it can still break.
  18. Find £250 quid and have a bit more peace of mind - least this one has a comprehensive advert so your not being messed around viewtopic.php?f=56&t=62389 ***EDIT - Sorry misread advert.........I thought the clutch had been changed***
  19. Personally my view is an invoice is worth FAR more than a stamp (some fibbing little dealers have their own little stamps). That one looks alright to me mate - get it checked out and see what you think. Don't be scared off imports - bit more to insure but not worth putting you off. As said the V6 is pretty bullet proof but if the clutch is coming up for renewal you will be taking a spanking so make sure that at the very least is tight. Re the click axle - please someone correct me - but apart from being a bit noisy on reverse it doesn't actually cause any issues does it?
  20. You know what the funniest thing about this post is? Seabee has been emailing his bird or a bird he's flirting with in the office and he's automatically put a kiss on the end of his post.
  21. 1) drive it the bite is very high anyway but you basically want it to engage smoothly and pull away. 2) not really but then it depends what you mean by expensive - if your only paying 4k for a car then a few hundred quid is expensive. You don't seem like one of the usual clowns who is expecting show room condition for your money but still I'll give you the same lecture the rest get. 4k is the absolute DREG end of the market - you may, I repeat MAY break lucky and just get one thats ok but buddy you really will be scraping the barrel. Even at 5-6k you've got to be very careful. Personally if your spending that little I'd get a garage to throughly inspect it for you prior to purchase.
  22. No im pointing out/complaining that 60 quid of advertising.generated precisely nada yet a free forum advert.sold both items. autotrader are full of crap
  23. And the drivers side seat bolster looks worn Mods you missed - stubby aerial - grim gear knob - some sort of Double din aftermarket radio - aftermarket spoiler - carbon wrapped centre console - limo tinted windows (rear quarter and back window) - black zed badges.
  24. I take it you've noticed the dodgy head rest in pic 10?
