  1. Alll a neeeeed is yo bonk accooooooount and sooooort coooode.
  2. Almost Autumn isn't it. Pretty much immy! If it keeps on like this I don't think it will be long before Carla actually manages to convince me to have a mooch round your neck of the woods.
  3. So well regulated that the general publics perception is that 90% are a scandal yet I don't hear of any being fined/closed down/improvement orders imposed. Not saying your wife isn't amazing at her job zugs but the regulation they have is next to useless .....yes there may be regulation they have to abide by but breaking them rarely has a consequence when they just **** up through ineptitude or a breach of process. You don't see the NAEA or ARLA dishing out fines and shutting agents down. You also don't see the government getting involved because individual incidents are too small fry. Provided they don't **** about with client money, keep adverts accurate and don't mis-sell a house to they keep their nose clean. For example Carla's agent who failed to set her standing order up 3 months running yet insisted on calling her every month to ask why she hand paid.......each time after which they would proclaim that her bank details were 'floating around the office somewhere. If my bank had done that we would have to raise a regulatory breach, report it to the FSA, remediate the customer for distress and inconvienance, If an individual was accountable remove their bonus and undertake a root cause analysis. It the FSA saw more than a few we could be fined (again), continue doing it and the 'person of significant influence' will be facing a stretch.
  4. With this kind of thing I think you've got to consider how hard it would be to sell the car without rather than what sort of value it would add. Bear in mind that unless you have electric heated seats now the electrics won't be comparable.
  5. Ricey has a challenger god help us if you two team up Would love to see that! Someone get him on here i want to read some of his stuff My stuff is all in the search somewhere......i dont want to steal anyones thunder.
  6. Endless stuffy grey sludge round here.......summer my arse
  7. My test drive of the SLK left me thinking that this would be the case..........not this bad though!
  8. You shouldn't own up to once having a Cougar Where you from mate? oi that was one of my favourite cars! I was only 20 at the time!! Chester but hail from Frodsham originally.
  9. Can you not get a second hand one or one off Zmanalex and do it yourself? Always fun playing around with your own motor.
  10. Pretty sure I bought my old Ford Cougar from Stockton Heath many moons ago.
  11. wash your mouth out your dirty man! Its a beautiful sounding engine! It's really not, especially stock. Not in comparison to the grumbly roar of the M97 in the OPs 911. said whilst licking his own eyebrow
  12. Get one - if for no better reason than there are loads of meets to attend and other zedmongs to hang around with. Its a car that you can't help but love.............there are about 3 people on here who actually didn't like the Zed and I'm pretty sure they probably also like marmite and can lick their own eyebrow.
  13. Pretty cheaps that is! I was quoted nearly 200 quid for a replacement Mercedes key!
  14. Indeed do tell because that has never once cropped up on here before Welcome back Si...........where are you in Cheshire out of interest? That cow looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it?
  15. The best way to describe a Zed is that if it was a human it would be a builder who is quite ripped up but not from being a vain gym go'er but from all the manual labour he's been undertaking, as such he's a decent footballer where he plays in the 'solid midfielder' role (torque) and is described by team mates as having a sweet left foot (handles well). He is happily married with 2 kids (the kind of car you can't help but like) but stubbornly refuses to go it alone self employed and make his fortune (engine has more to give).......instead he continues to spend frugally (can't afford snazzy interior) whilst toiling in hardwork and blood for an underpaying employer who he believes will eventually reward him for his loyalty and graft (possible mods or he will be traded in for a newer model). He has learned these things from his equally hardworking parents (Mr & Mrs 300zx) and hopes to pass it on to his son Butch (370z) who is already showing that he will surpass the 'salt of the Earth' status that his dad has achieved. He's the kind of car that you could take home to your mum. The only problem is he has a clicking hip (axle) from the building work and a raging drinking problem (petrol)
  16. wash your mouth out your dirty man! Its a beautiful sounding engine!
  17. Totally different car but my mate told me last night about an E60 M5 he had into his work - these are now £15k motors easily and will be on the radar of many Zed owners. Anyway, it was a few years old and needed a little gearbox work. £9k of gearbox work to be precise. My mate worked at a specialist and not a main dealer and therefore the prices were much lower too. I know it's not really relevant to this though. Totally relevant if you ask me - we're not casting aspersions about Lukes financial abilility to maintain a car and the Boxster is undoubtedly a great car...........but like with anything that is premium badge, premium money brand new they are/can be money pits. Even standard servicing is stratospheric if you use main or indies - although on a 7k car you prob want to do it yourself. The gearbox or ECU ETC can go on any car - we know this is a fact............if it goes on your 7k Porsche/BMW/Merc/Audi you are my friend ****ed (or at the very best raped of all spare cash)
  18. Monday buddy.........having the wheels refurbed and hopefully fitting the Scorpion before I piuck her up!
  19. Audi TT TDI quattro - Black with sort of blackish wheels (titanium I think its offcially called) and whore red leather interior (Carla actually asked me if it was really called 'whore red' ) That was most likely me - I dropped Carla off round the corner. Once everything is all sorted out I need to try and arrange some sort of Chester meet I've not seen any fellow zedders since LakeZ 2011!
  20. Aside from us banks there are very few industries who do have any sort of meaningful regulation..........even garages are only monitored I suppose is the right word by Trading Standards and even then its usually one word against another. In fact most tertiary (is that even a word?? I seem to remember it from school and I think I've used it in the right context!) industry is unregulated as far as I can tell.
