  1. Just make sure you get Wasso to do it or for the love of God don't use a wire wheel drill bit!
  2. I did a similar combo on Carla's viewtopic.php?f=20&t=50299

    Cheap thrills

Most disappointing car I ever owned! V8 fuel consumption for hot hatch performance. A LOT of car for the money if you can ignore that though. Mazda reliability though.........all I had go wrong in 18 months of ownership on a 2 year old car was all of the alloy wheels needed to be replaced due to corrosion, the Bose catastrophically failed, both rear light clusters filled with fog, the handbrake leaver broke, the oil cooler pipes were recalled due to chance of catastrophic failure, it flooded and had to be taken back to Mazda on a low loader to have half the damn engine stripped (not my fault - body shop fecked it after I warned them about the 'rev the @*!# out of it' rule) and finally started to lose power between 3-4k rpm before I got shut. Also as a treat if you left it for more than 48 hours it would refuse to start and had to be bump started (after speaking to Lexx on here some years after getting rid he said I probably murdered the poor thing by bump starting it). I hated the little whorebag though and it was the worst I have ever treated a car in terms of giving it stick.
  4. You robbed the car or something? I'd be pretty concerned about that as thats the exact purpose of the key blade..........to open the door where the remote or the battery fails. Basically your fooked.
  5. What do you mean the 'Key point does not work'? Are you saying that the actual physical key is not working in your door lock?
  6. Damn! Beat me to the Elise suggestion.

Good enough for me.......means i dont need a loan for the full value, can swap the car out after a bit (like i usually do every 18 mths to 2 years) and i have money in my arse pockey for more shiney river island suits Its a personal contract plan.......discussed at some length on the slk thread.

    2 Owners?

Sort of do mate but it's like your getting bummed without even the common courtesy of a reach around. Higher tax bracket, HR money but none of the benefits. Buying a car with a 3.5 v6 engine and worrying about 17k or 35k on the clock is madness. A 17k car with sketchy history is worth less to me than 35k with a good history if for no other reason the resaleability. These cars are good for galactic milage. Don't sell yourself short just to get a ludicrously low miler. Get an unsecure loan with a lower apr and march into a dealer with a hr car that you like plant a fist full of cash on the table, get a trade in and away you go. As soon as they know you need their finance you are finished from a negotiation perspective. Don't get dealer finance unless you want pcp.

I just buy the car.......pay thousands on repairs then flog it on for a massive loss. It's just how I roll.

I've never understood this 'yearly servicing' malarkey I mean don't get me wrong I do it but does no one else think its a sack of old bollocks? If my car does 10k in a year then it needs servicing, if it does 10k in 6 months it needs servicing if it does 10k in 2 years it needs servicing..........whatever why you slice it the service needs doing after a certain around of milage, I fail to see what 'time' has got to do with wear and tear on a car.

    Heart Broken!!!

    Sweet........baby.........Jesus
  16. You need to add me and Carla if your on ps3 R111cyy and CarlaAX I think.
  17. Car trader servicing a car........never spells 50 odd quid oil being used does it
  18. Jay don't take this the wrong way as I really don't intend it to be but you don't strike me as someone who is particularly hard up, from the way you talk your pretty stable, well sorted, expensive rock purchased and just love your metal.........why not get something properly nuts like a Sagris or a Mazzer. Yes it will break but you'll be a fully blooded petrol head by then.
  19. Cayman.......no contest. Itch scratched of owning a porker, I'm one of the few who think the Caymen is the best looking porker, fast, economical(ish), nice place to be, proper coupe. BMW M3 - you get the nod from Saxo drivers, 3 series with bits stuck on visually, hate hate hate the sound of BMW straight 6's (is it still a 6 or has it gone V8?), people hate you, children hate you, animals hate you........ your family - they don't like you much either.
  20. He never said it was......that was just the noise his car made when it had 2 bend conrods
  21. Don't know why but I prefer the other import you posted above. Leather looks a bit shagged on the one above (there again that can be quite an easy fix if it's just superficial) Make sure you either know the buying guide like the back of your hand or print it off and take it with you. The 88 quid insurance quote......that on a uk car or an import?
  22. Re the cars its a tough one as not many would probably touch them but then we are talking about a 5k budget. As you state above your not a spotty teenager but your still getting the same spiel that all low budget noobs get........tread carefully. 5k gets the arse end of the market..........5k can turn into 5k plus 2k repairs very quickly. My advice.....save another grand and half if you can.......other wise for the love of god take your time choosing. Do not try to find any car that fits budget just so you can pick it up on your day off. With that budget you need to take your time and pick very, very carefully.
