  1. Oi knobs naff off! Another bloody friend turned up today with his brake screeching so I finished off the service on the astra and cracked on with a sharpish 2 hour turnaround on his rear brakes too! Another valuable lesson learnt........twatting a disc that's stuck on with a hammer and burning the crap out of it with a blow torch will not help if the frigging handbrake is still on This was one of the pads I took off!
  2. Beavis and any other spark would cringe and rightly so. I just need to stay the hell away from electrics. I don't understand electricity and I acknowledge that I don't have the sufficient respect for it which is a dangerous combination!
  3. Oi! I resemble that remark! I've still not worked out that business on the Audi with the puddle light......proper annoying. Electrics are apparently not my forte though.......mum rang the other day to tell me the wall lights I fitted for her which had subsequent not worked for 2 years have been fixed. The live wire had some loose, I hadn't earthed them and they were when turned on a giant live conductor of 240v for anyone that may have touched them
  4. I don't see what the issue is. Matt black alloys are cool as everyone knows and they go really well with a yellow car (has no one ever seen a bumblebee the originally trend setter of black on yellow). DBA's tell me that they have definitely cared for the car as do the alloys. Forget the BHP......could even be remapped for all we know. Well worth a look mate.
  5. Staines!? The south central of the UK! Good luck with that dude!
  6. A blowtorch.......I'm just an otter away from perfection now. Seriously though its another gratifying progression along my path from spoddom to release a seized bolt by applying heat. Sadly it was ruined slightly by the fact I've just spent 8.5 hours changing the REAR brakes on an astra! Well technically 7.5 hours changing one and 1 for the other. My favour to a friend has cost me a 25 quid blow torch and a 55 quid piston rewinding kit! Still it all adds to the ever growing stash!
  7. Id echo.....no experience but i love the lool of them and apart from the niggling issue with my audi im a proper convert. Especially if it has quattro.

    Fiat 500

Was a passenger in the back from Chester to barrow in Furness and fair play I was comfortable and it really dealt with the motorway impressively!
  9. or Very dodgy! RS6 with 56k on the clock for 8.5k..... something isnt right IMO! Lots about mate....looks like it needs a little tlc to me (trim missing off bottom of boot lid). I was gutted when I saw how much I could have got an rs6 for after buying that shitty merc. 4.2l V8 bi turbo returning 20mpg probably has a lot to do with the value!
  10. V8 Biturbo Giant boot 1500quid change http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 8478074133 Jizzle
  11. +1! Very cool replacement though......I like unusual cars! Bet its quick too!
  12. Said like a true Porsche owner!
  13. it can be yours for a cool £200k!!! I actually saw a 1970's Toyota celica today that looked much the same.......I'll save 197k and have that instead. There is one in this months Japanese performance magazine. All they need is a paint/vinyl job and some bling tastic alloys and then they look
  14. Didn't miss much, it was my first attempt using MS Movie Maker and the vid camera on the SGS3 It was basically a little hoon around deserted country roads (of which oop north we have plenty), nowt to write home about, I just loved the engine note, and listening to it on my PC is cheaper than the 20 MPG to listen to it in reality! As for the "mixed tyres comment", obviously I'm missing out on an "in-joke". Ekona loves it when people are running mixed tyres......it makes his pubes spontainiously combust!
  15. I heard he was running mixed tyres too quality!
  16. To be honest I've seen a LOT worse posted on here (and seen a lot worse at the wales meet!)
  17. Phil you need to listen up we told you that on the first page!
  18. Theoretically no because the ecu will adapt to the new airflow and cancel out potential gains (apparently.....it's all voodoo me) Get all your mods done first then get a remap for best gains. You need a plenum spacer for best gains out of the remap - in fact best gains outside of FI.
  19. Provided you can duct it up properly it should work better but you prob need to fit a nostril or some flexipipe.
