The Evo system removes the secondary cats, or rather they're less restrictive, so all good Here's a bit of the blurb, "The Evolution system uses the same muffler as the Slip-On system. However, it also includes high-flow link pipes with integrated resonators and crossover tube that replace the entire exhaust system from the catalysts back."

43/50 for the first one, then I remembered, I already have a licence so didn't bother with the second one
-
Music to my ears, HFC's and no Y pipe, Evolution system is straight through I'd be looking for a decent return on my set up

Thanks Vik, I'm still staring, my neighbours think I'm some sort of nosey parker, continually staring oot the windae (marginally better than a windae licker ) , looks even better under street lighting

Off on a Hebridean oddessy on Tuesday (few family probs to contend with first), anyhows, gave the Z a good clean today, recorded a few extra CD's on the hard drive, polished the alloys etc, etc. Came in for my dinner tonight and after I'd finished, I found myself sat there staring out the living room window at me Z, for ages!! You know what? There isn't an angle that this car does not look good in Still staring, and still mesmerised, it's started to rain now, can't wait for the usual beading to further mesmerise me just thought I'd share

I Have a Mk2 Focus RS atm , looking at the figures the Z does seem to have the edge , just didn't seem that way on the test drive . I think it's down to the turbo and the way it delivers it's power in one big lump rather then a na car being smoother in it's delivery . Overall after a 15min test drive was realy impressed and i'm sure it'll put a smile on my face when i find one . Is that the RS300? Because if it is, that little baby cou;ldn't live with me on the track at Valley That was with the owner running a full set of track tyres. The 370 mate, leaves the RS300 standing. If it's an earlier RS, then even less of a contest I'm afraid. Not bumming the Z capabilities, it's just a fact mate

Lots of products out there, for a shiney set of tips I've always used Autosol metal polish

FI = Forced Induction 1/ The Hi Flow Cats (HFC's) will present no problem come MOT time, De Cats will. 2/ A bit overcautious, while the addition of HFC's and Exhaust will create a louder noise, usually this will only happen under load, normal/cruising driving won't be compromised. FI will make it louder again, all down to personal taste, best place to help you decide would be to attend a meet, usually no two Zeds are running the same kit

They do mate, I thnk Abbey has a thread somewhere that states they can disable the function without causing a CEL/warning, by ressetting it. Her'es the blurb on it, "The "pop-up engine hood" technology, a new safety technology developed by Nissan Motor Company Ltd., has been incorporated into the 370Z with the aim of reducing head impact injuries in the event of a pedestrian collision. The concept of the pop-up hood is based on a very simple principle: to help minimise serious head injury by creating more space to avoid collision with hard objects. In the case of a car-pedestrian collision, the engine hood is designed to pop-up instantly to help create a protective buffer space between the hood and the engine components underneath. Upon impact with a pedestrian and based on the severity of that impact, a sensor incorporated in the bumper activates the pop-up control-unit, which in turn will trigger an explosive actuator that raises the hood"

You are without doubt, a star You have no idea the look of dissapointment on my poor fazug today Cheers mate, I owe you one -
Good luck with the search What are you driving at the mo? Surprised you might go for a car that doesn't impress on performance, all the 370's deliver the same performance, unmodified of course

Hi Guys, Cast your mind back to delivery of the Berk HFC's, I got two decals with mine and today I decided to put them on the car, anyway, spent a good half hour prepping the location, put the first one on and I think it looks superb . Went to put the second one on and it turns out it's black , not good on an Ebisu Black car Anyway my request is, have any of you still got one of these decals? Obviously the silver one, I can either do a swap for the black one or, if you're a sadist, hold me to ransom I will, of course, pay P&P, so please, pretty please, can anyone help? Here's what the silver looks like -
Covers!! Ok, after someone suggested that I should perhaps just DIY'd my engine cover, it got me thinking about the other covers. I would really like to match them to the engine cover, just the covers, leaving the surrounds black. I have no clue as to the required stages for painting plastic, what types of paint to use, or how to prep, I could bodge away and spend fortunes on different combo's with poor results. So what, in the opinion of any experts on here is a process that even this ham fisted clot could follow? and could you please list it in stages, ta Also, would it be feasable to have them wrapped? What are the chances of getting a good colour match? For both processes. If it turns out well, I may decide to do more engine type dressing Never been interested before but having seen a few on here in various guises, it would be a cool mod IMO, for shows/meets etc to show off. One thing though, I'm not really into CF Many thankyoos in advance of the avalanche of info I'm about to receive

Neilp, myself and a few others on here managed 2 x 3hr sessions at Valley, albeit 6-8 laps at a time, with a cool down lap at the end of your thrash That should give you 10 mins cool down in the pit between sessions, I wouldn't envisage any probs, if your car has good brakes and tyres

I know mate, only downside to a new car

Well, the BT infinity guy has been and....

I'll get ma knob oot then -
I thought it was the leaner mix that improves the mpg , I just know that it does, a difference of 1.8km/l is around 5mpg more, so would amount to around 60-75 extra miles per tank, very rough calculation BTW

Don't know if it's the same with the Roadster, setting the key to activate all the doors to being unlocked, but it's easy to de-activate it so that only 1 of the doors open, I put that down to the key being in your pocket and being pressed accidently I would guess that this also activates the roof on a roadster, you know, pressing it twice, or holding it for a few seconds longer, can't remember at the mo, but you'll find it in the manual.
-
Yup, now there's a prog for a 370, I'm hoping that my next visit to London, to have this to compliment the exhaust and HFC's, also gives, I believe, an improvement in MPG at the same time
-
Nope, I had bother as well, took an hour to finally log on!
-
Berks HFC's are a quality item, and the brackets put no strain on any other part, you won't regret it
-
Tame Seriously nice sound I can't reccommend the Berk HFC's highly enough (is tame though )

+1 on keeping it, when I fitted a Borla to my old RX-8, I gave my stock one away So when it came time to sell, I was stuck without a stock one to sell on my Borla. Luckily, I got a buyer who was willing to swap his stock one and part with some cash Have you noticed how heavy the stock one is? The cats also weigh the equivelant of 2 moons!!
