  5. Mate, if you're getting 22.5mpg average in a RX8, you had better share your secret with the guys over on the RXOC On average I got around 17.5mpg, that was hot/cold/commuting/runs/hair on fire etc. A 370 has voice activated everything, bluetooth, audio, mp3 input, iphone input, cruise control, 9gb hard drive, plays audio, DVD, connect Premium will blow you away. The trouble with the Rex was it didn't upgrade all these sort of things in it's whole production run. Apart from the R3 getting a few toys, even that doesn't come close! Quite simply, you will NEVER want to drive any other car you own, on long trips, short trips, medium trips and acid trips (sometimes Rex owners talk like they're on acid , especially when they believe they have the best car ever in the world bar none and all others are rubbish ). As I said, I loved my Rex, and if I could have afforded to, I would have kept it for a track toy, stripped it out and FI'd her. Oh and I think you'll find 30mpg is nearly double what the average Rex owner gets in their Rex , even a 192. I was getting 170 to a tank in mine on a commuting week and it had no issues, best I did was 220 on a long run, I regurarly get 400+ in the Zed , especially on a run, at a spirited speed as well.

DawnC and TT350z Ok looks like this is all we're going to get for our little convoy Plan as above, except we should all meet at Annandale Water Services at Jct 16 on the M74, they're far better than Happendon, plus it'll be about time for a coffee and a bun by then Timings Annandale Water services: 1145hrs Jct 40 M6 Penrith: 1245hrs Inn on The Lake: 1315hrs The Heaves Hotel will take a further 40 minutes after lunch Any probs, post them up
  7. Worked ok today when I arrived at work and when I was coming home, locked/unlocked as normal . One to monitor methinks, oh and there are no strong transmiters near me either. I'll still pop by the dealers on Friday though.
  8. Fred, I came from owning an 8 for over 4 years, the power blows the 8 away, the torque blows it away, the fit and trim blows it away, the gadgets blow it away, the styling blows it away, the Bose blows rthe 8 Bose away, the MPG will nearly double, when you check the oil, 99/100 you will not need to top it up, you will have no flooding worries, no coilpack worries, no hot/cold start worries, no compression worries, it can be moved off the drive and shut down perfectly safely, no starter motor issues, handling is in the same class if not a tad better. There is a bit more road noise, not as smooth sounding (as someone pointed out get rid of the standard exhaust, should fix that), not as practical as an 8 and that's it. The 370 is 3 classes above the RX8, and that's from someone that absolutely loved his 8. Any more Q's fire away
  9. Yup it does it at the boot and passanger door as well, I'll get it to the stealers on Friday, that's the first opportunity I'll have, thanks Chris
  10. Mine seems to not be too clever at the mo! Past day or so when using the door button to lock/unlock it hasn't worked until I have been virtually stood against the door with the key in my pocket. Tried the spare key last night and it's the same. First thought was battery, but as both keys seem to have this problem, I'm thinking that this is too much of a coincidence, plus the manual states that the battery should last 2 years, car is only 10months old. It locks/unlocks ok when pressing the buttons on the fob Anyone any ideas, she'll be due a service soon, probably after LakeZ so will eventually be hitting the dealer if I don't find a fix here. Any reccommendations on where to get the battery from, other than a dealer?
  11. A colleague at work has one of these, in red, the front wheel arches on it are rusting quite badly. That said, maybe they're not all like that, would put me off though.
  12. Don't bother mate, it's European Assist that Nissan give you, relatively comprehensive. Your Zed will eat that little trip
  13. Thanks, I thought it would be cool. Early days yet but it will happen
  14. If it rains, she'll need tracks, cat tracks
  15. Is Nicole up for the camping though She could always bunk up with Egon the chef
  16. Colin, thankyou for considering I'm of a tender age, my body isn't but inside my head I'm ten years old I also got the impression from Mark that the HFCs would make a difference, as I say, give me to the end of summer and hopefully I'll have completed a visit and been re-mapped With the gains shown for the Stillen alone, another 5-10hp is not to be sniffed at, I'll then have to look at what will get me up to the 370hp mark
  17. All augers well for next years trip Started to put a basic plan together last night with a friend, I'm hoping to organise a group trip on here for all us Z fans. Basic outline at the moment, Wednesday Ferry/Euro Tunnel - Calais/Boulogne and travel to Le Mans, camping with Speedchills, return Monday (I'll probably stop over for the rest of the week and come back via Cherbourg/Dublin - Belfast/Troon just for the crack). Although eating is well catered for at Speedchills camp site, the plan is we're taking a trained chef and a camper van as a "support/chuck" wagon (he's an employee of my friend and he'll be paying for his attendance, we'll have to suby up for food/drink). It's my experience in the past, splitting the cost of a few extra camping plots provides a great area for socialising and eating when away from the track, a couple of gazeebo's and Bobs your aunty , bring your own chairs/eating irons/plates/cups etc. This would amount to no more than a few pounds per couple for the duration depending on how many sign up. We've already got 5 couples, including myself, committed. It would be great to see a big gaggle of Zeds, stickered up and snaking through France I'll be making the serious enquiries around October time and looking for commitment shortly after new year. Costs based on previous experience will be around £250, this includes weekend passes for two and camping for two and a car, doesn't include food/drink/ferry/petrol though, it sounds a lot but it's the cheapest weekends racing ever and the cheapest week in France you'll get . Don't forget this gets you access to an open pit day on the Friday and probably a garage pass to one of the teams I hope this isn't treading on any meet organiser/mods toes, but I was dissapointed that our club didn't do an organised trip there this year, although I couldn't make it Anyway, I'll be starting a few threads on it later in the year
  18. I've never seen a female comedian that's actually made me laugh! That Sarah Millican you're on about Al is awful IMO and as for that Shappi burd Both of them are a one line act, none of them are original and just plain unfunny. Sorry girls but they're shite, more of a laugh to be had with any female in normal conversation. Just my opinion
  19. Have a look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_autobahns
